I'm not really sure what you call them, but for our Disney vacations, we give our kids (ages 3 and 1) bags of Disney goodies: t-shirts, glow sticks, fruit snacks, etc.

We are trying to get our entire family to go to WDW in December and being the planner that I am, I have started buying things for my nieces and nephews. The younger kids are somewhat easy to shop for. However, we have (2) 13 year olds going and a 17 soon to be 18 year old going, and I have no idea what to put in their bags! This will be their first trip to WDW ever and we want to make it fun and special for them. Any advice is appreciated!:D

(By the way.. please feel free to make suggestions for the younger kids too: at time of vacation, they will be ages 2,4,6,8... :teeth: Thanks!)

I am planning easter baskets for my DD(8) and her very special cousin 9. We are suprising the girls with a trip the last week in August (29 - 4 Sept). I am also taking my sister(cousins mother) for her first time.

I was palnning on including a tee shirt (great for any age). I was also going to include one of the Disney guide books (still deciding which one) and the vacation planning DVD (so she could do some planning on her own). I think the teens would also enjoy planning. The basket is also going to include a GOH bagde, an autograph book, EPOCT passport, and a set of personal sized tolietries in a travel bag. If the teens are girls Bath and Body works sells a teriffic selection of scents. Other possibilities include an inexpensive set of sunglasses or a new hat to wear.

A friend at work suggested supplies for the pressed penny machines (we don't do this but it may be something fun for the girls trip). I love your glow stick suggestion.

How about park maps and personalized guide books for the teens? I was thinking that they are probably too old for the Birnbaum's guide for kids but a regular guide book is going to include a lot of extra stuff that won't be of any interest to them (resort info, park pass options, etc). If you're at all handy with a computer you could use all the info you have gotten here to put together a simple guide book that tells them about the resort where they will be staying and gives them all the great park touring tips from the DIS. I think there are park maps available somewhere on the I'net or maybe another DISer would pick up some extra ones on their trip and send to you. Some other items I thought of were the Brita filtered water bottles, sunscreen and lip balm with sunscreen, disposable cameras, fanny packs, a pin lanyard or a lanyard with an ID pocket for their park passes, or one of those waterproof containers to hold your money, ID, etc at the pool or water park. You might also post this question on the Teen Disney board and see if some of the posters over there would give you some ideas.

For the younger kids, try the Dollar Tree - ours always has lots of small Disney stuff. And a few Disney Dollars would be a hit with any age group.

Oh, one more homemade thing I have done is to put together a park scavenger hunt/trivia quiz. I found some tiny notebooks at the Dollar Tree and filled them with neat things to look for in the parks and trivia questions that could only be answered by doing the park attractions or visiting certain spots on property. I did one for each park and my son had a lot of fun with them. This can also be a good way to get a reluctant family member to try some of the attractions.:)

The Hidden Mickey's book would be great for teens. It is organized in a scavenger hunt format and I can see teens having fun competing with each other. Gum isn't sold at WDW so if your teens like gum you might add a weeks supply. Walmart, and I'm sure other places, sell disney tatoos. They are found in the parks as well but of course you will pay more. Depending on what size of bags you are doing you could include a beach towel, magazine and maybe one of those water balls for the days at the pool. Mister fans or the small personal fans. Inexpensive two way radios so they can go off on their own.

I make goodie bags for my kids each trip as well and I have to be more creative as they get older.
