My family is planning a trip in December. This will be my first trip to Disney World and even though I am 31 I am thrilled. I can't wait! Anyway, I am wanting to make my own autograph book (i just got the Mickey and Friends for my Cricut). But having never been I have no idea what to expect as far as autographs go. How many characters will we actually get to see? Is it a better idea to take blank cards for signatures and then make my book when I get home, or should I make one including the most popular characters and add to it when I see who else we see. I really wanted to make it ahead of time, but once i started researching I saw some people listed characters I had not even thought of. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

There are LOTS of characters at the parks...it's hard to guess how many you will actually see/gets autographs from. My dds got about 35 autographs, some from characters I hadn't even thought would be at WDW. Definitely take extra cards and put them in your book later. Oh and you can get a list of characters and where you may find them, somewhere here, I'm not sure where but my mom found it before we went last year. If I come across it, I will post a link for you. Also, there are lots of people on this board that have made autograph templates that I'm sure would be happy to share with you, 1 lady I know had autograph cards for the Power Rangers, I never would have thought they would be at WDW!!!! Good luck making your autograph book, it sounds like lots of fun! HAve a blast on your trip.

WE are leaving today for the world.. I cut a whole bunch of tags and 4x6 sheets of cardstock for characters to sign and I will assemble a book after I return. The tags I cut in various shapes from cricut cartridge and 4-5" in size.. I also went out and purchased retractable sharpies so I don't have to worry about losing caps.

There are lots of characters at all the parks!!! ;)

Hope that helps a little!
Enjoy your Dec. trip!!!

the first thing you need to do is make a list of who you really want to see. and make a list for any character meals you are eating at.
If you do Crystal Palace you know you will see Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore.
1900 Park Faire is Cinderella, the step sisters, the step mother, and I think Prince Charming.
Some characters don't so autographs like Beast but you can still do a photo with them.

It's also going to depend on how long you are willing to stand in line too. The fab 5 lines are always long. At MGM they keep the line moving but rotate the characters, so 3 people ahead of you might see Chip and Dale and you might see Lilo and Stitch, depends on the rotation.

Also keep in mind a full book will get heavy, how big of a book are you looking at taking, how will you carry it around?

here is a good list of characters, while it seems overwhelming note where they say if this is a rare character or not. That will reduce the likelihood that you will see them.

you have plenty of time though, so with the group of people who have been to WDW or those going over the summer, we can help you get an idea of where you will spot characters.

Check out the creative dissigns board on this site. They have lots of pages you can use for all the characters you can pick and choose based on who you want to meet
