Hi All,

So we will be flying down to Disney but will most likely be getting a rental car because we will have two small kids and we don't want to be held hostage to the Disney Buses at All Star Movies.... Anyways, I wanted to buy a GPS to bring with us to use in the rental car (I need a GPS for home anyways) and I wanted to make sure that they have the information for the hotels, parks, etc. in the GPS. I'm hoping it will make our travel from the airport --> hotel and hotel --> parks less stressful. I'm kinda new to these so any info would be great.

Thanks,
David

I don't think it matters which GPS you buy. The all should have "major" sites on them. Mine did. You also can download a point of interest file here
http://www.mousesavers.com/gps.html#mousesaverspoi that has all of the relevant local attractions, resorts, etc.

I rent a car all the time in WDW and find the sinage on the resort to be very easy to navigate and have no problem going from place to place by simply following Disney's signs. One thing you will want to know is which "area" each resort that you want to go to is in. THe signs say something like "Epcot Resort Area" first and then specific resort names later. Sometimes, you need to know the resort area you are trying to get to.

Hope that helps!

Garmin and Magellan now have units that sell for under $200 (COSTCO and probably other places) that include free (advertisor supported) traffic. You won't need traffic at WDW but it might help at home.

We drove down over the summer and had no problem at all with ours. We have a magellan it was able to pick up all disney area. We did go online and update it before we left also.
