Hi
I have made all the plans in MDE for our party of 5… now I am connecting my brother, he has created his own account too

how can we both see the shared plans for the kids? Do we need to create accounts for them too?

Can we both try to book a boarding group?
Thanks!

What made the most sense during our last Disney trip was to have MDE accounts for each room. We traveled with others and they each setup MDE for their own reservation and it included all family members. Then we just linked/shared our information (don't recall the exact name Disney calls it), so making dinner reservations or FastPasses was very simple. I don't see any advantage for every person in the same room to have separate MDE accounts.

I can't tell how many rooms you will have, but if only one room, I would only setup one MDE account and list everyone.

You can link everyone via the Family & Friends section of MDE. I can’t remember the exact process and hope someone will come tell you, but it involves your sending a message to your brother for each of his family members, asking to share plans with them. He has to agree, and you also have to check the boxes to share plans and to see each other’s photos. Then he does the same for each of your family members. Having one MDE per family works best - until the kids get so old that they start needing to be able to make and modify their own plans independently. That’s another story for another day.

And yes, you can both try for a BG. Just make sure that you and he both have everyone in your entire party listed as F&F in both of your MDE accounts.

I did this earlier today in order to set an account for my husband. First you "share plans" with the other adult (you can search for them by name). Once the invite to link the adult has been accepted, if you can each go back into the friends and family section and "add guest", and this time, the children in the other adult's account should show up as "connected" guests, giving you the option to add them to your friends and family.
