Sad indeed. When I was on the short animation tour at MGM, back last month, they mentioned that after that bear movie was completed, all the animators were put on a paid leave, with an unknown ending. I guess we know.
Animation is indeed art. I think that this is major loss, not only for Disney but for future generations. Thank God there were no computers when Michalangelo painted the Cistine Chapel.
then they will develop their own computer animation.
it's a shame, really, but reality is -- either they'd have to cheapen the product orconsolidate the operations. I don't blame this one on Eisener's mismanagement.
