Disney Animation Magic Class - 2/21/2011

mydisneyobsession--thanks for starting the new thread! I would also like to add that the Physics class might be a possibility for older kids.

I've sent out feelers at my husband's workplace, my daughter's scout troop, and anything else I can think of for Animation and physics--here's hoping!

We are planning a trip for the end of February. I only have an 8 year old that is eligible for the program so does that mean that I can get her ticket and 1 adult ticket at the discounted rate? We will be traveling with friends and they have a 10 year old they want to enroll as well. It will be our first time doing a YES program and it sounds great. If not enough people sign up then we just pay regular park prices correct?

Hi, vacamomma -

You can get your daughter a participant ticket, and you can get as many non-participant tickets as you need. That means everyone in your traveling party is eligible to purchase the discounted tickets.

Sorry - I missed the second part of your question.

The class will be reinstated if we are able to get ten participants together, and we are very close to that now. If your group has two students, that puts us at nine, I believe?

As soon as we reach ten students, we can register as a group, and then everyone will have the option of purchasing YES tickets.

So glad to find the 2 threads, again. I was having a hard time finding them last night.

What is the latest count and current list? Did we hit 10 yet?

Ok so I am waiting to find out if my niece can take the trip with us, if so then I will have 3 in my party which sounds like it takes the count to 10 kids:yay: I just register to that link correct or call? Does anyone know if we have to purchase all the extra tix tickets for our nonparticipants the day we register? I have the $$$ for mine but thinking it would be about a week for my nieces parents to have the $ for it. Thanks for answering my questions.

Yay Vacamomma! I hope your niece can join you!

I'm not sure of the specifics on the timing of the ticket order in our case... I'm not sure if they will be handling us as open enrollment or as a group. Once we have confirmation that we're a group of ten, I'll contact the YES people. (Unless someone else wants to take the lead on this?) Then we can find out how to proceed.

I'd like to put together a master list of people who have decided to participate in the Disney Animation Magic class so that we can get a more official count.

I'd like to ask those planning to attend to please send me the following information by private message:

Name/ DIS screen name/ e-mail address/ contact phone number/ names and ages of participants

Thanks so much, everybody!

*** Please also mention if you're interested in attending the Physics class. Mellers - I'm not sure of the date and time for that class, so maybe you could clarify? Then we can see what kind of interest there would be in attending the second class.***

Hi all--the Physics class is also listed for February 21st now, so I think we would probably need 15 to put it on another day. If, however, there are people who want to go, please let me know and we'll see if we can get a group of 15 for another day--it's at least worth a try.

If you want to do the Physics class (in addition to the animation class), send me a private message with your name/screen name/email address and the number of people who would like to attend. For now, though, since it looks like the Animation class is the most popular, we'll start with that.

We won't be there in February (sorry...can't help your count), but I just want to thank you for posting this thread. I looked up all the class descriptions, and they look like so much fun! DS will be doing his 4th grade CA mission report in a few months, so we might try and do the California class on our next trip. Thanks again!

Thank you, Mellers and Silmarg, for sending me your information! Is there anyone else interested in joining the class? Please send me your information, so that we can get our official count together!

Thanks!

What is the official count now? (For those new to this thread, if you have 11-18 year old kids, this is THE LOWEST PRICED park hopper ticket, as well as a great Disney class in animation!)
