I wish we were going in February!
Out of curiosity, do you know what the minimum/maximum #'s are for a class? I noticed there are also some dates for individual enrollment.

This class actually started out as an open enrollment class, but due to low enrollment it was cancelled. Usually the minimum is 15 students, but they've lowered the minimum for classes during the week of President's Day to 10, and will reinstate our class if we can meet that lowered number.

We have 7 students now, so we're pretty close the minimum number.

is there an age limit/min for this? I would love to do this (my son is 6)
Also...is an all day thing?

Hi!

The age range is 8 - 18, and the class is about three hours long. There are unfortunately no 6 day tickets available - the longest is the five day.

I actually looked at the possibility of purchasing the discounted one day one park ticket to fill our sixth day, but decided on a resort/ Downtown Disney day instead.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Sorry - I just noticed that your son is six. I have a six year old, also, and asked if we she could be included. They specifically said no. They're pretty strict about the minimum age requirement.

I'm a little curious about this. This kind of class sounds like something my sons, ages 9 and 11, would really like to try out if we were going to be down at the parks when one is going on. It looks like this particular class has an option for individual enrollment? So you don't have to be part of some group, i.e. school class, day camp, to participate? Also, if the kids aren't part of some group, do I just sign them up, or does an adult have to sign up and participate with them?

First of all, thanks to the poster who corrected my link. I did mean to post a link to the Disneyland course, not the Walt Disney World course.

The Animation class did start out as an open enrollment class, but was cancelled due to lack of sign ups. They are willing to reinstate the class, but they want to convert us into a group to do it, rather than individual enrollment, and the minimum number of students they will require is ten.

If anyone is interested in participating, please post here, and we'll get the group coordinated.

For anyone that might be considering it, my children attended a YES class in Florida and loved it. Even my 8 year old - who went into the class complaining that she'd rather be going on rides - had an excellent time.

I'm about 95% sure we're a go for this!! Do you or anyone know if they great priced PHs come with a MM - our park days would be Sat/Sun & Mon and it'd sure be nice to have a MM for Sat or Sun.

Bummer *to no MM* well if we make it work we'll just treat Mon as "our" MM day - we'd have an equal advantage to all other guests - so that'd be our (DD & me) FL rides day *Peter Pan, Dumbo and so on. With my son being on of the group how close are you to 10....?

I think that makes us eight. You may want to call about your daughter, too. If she's close to the cutoff, they may let her do it. (My six year old did a class for 7 and up at WDW. They may let it go if she's close.)

We're running a count in the February 2011 thread. I'll go check in there. You should drop in, too!

I am so happy to see this thread getting so much activity. (I am already part of the count)

Lets hope we can pull this off!
