OMG, I spent the last couple of hours with a sobbing child.

Amy called me from ballet class. She was putting up her hair (they have to wear it in a bun) and she used a round brush (which I have TOLD her never to use because her hair gets tangled).

Guess what? Yep. It got tangled up and she couldn't get it out. By the time I got there it was wound up almost to her head, so I just brought her home.

Now a 12 year old with almost waist length hair goes into orbit when you say you might have to cut it. It's been fun, but I got it almost untangled before I got the scissors. I don't think we'll have to do anything drastic.

What an evening so far!

Poor Amy! It is so hard to get hair untangled from a brush like that. I hope you didn't have to cut too much of her hair.

I didn't have to cut too much. I'll know more after she takes a shower and washes it. It's full of all kinds of conditioner and detangler from the episode.

I don't think we'll have to go to get a haircut tonight at any rate. What a relief! We told her she could have just set a new style. Maybe all the girls would be wearing hairbrushes.
