Merry - I wish I knew about your problem sooner, I can solve it with out scissors. ALthough it is expensive (like 11 dollars for a tiny bottle) there is a serum called Silk Trherapy gy Faruk, you can only get it in salons around here, but it make your hair slick, if you put it on wet hair, no tangles, on dry hair, no frizzes, You could have gotten her hair and brush wet and used about a quarter sized drop (really, it taks next to nothing) and as you worked it into her hair, the brush would have loosened right up.

LK and SB, thanks for the laughs!!! Now if I could only get the riddle, I made a guess and waited all day for "Nope, sorrry!" Guess I better go google.

Elaine, I am proud of you! As soon as my incisions heal, I am gonna get my navel pierced.

I wish I'd known, Marsha. I saved your suggestion in case it ever happens again. Unbelievably I only had to cut a tiny part of her hair. I got the vast majority out. Now, I'm sure I broke a lot of hair getting it out, but she went from having maybe 2 inches of hair to losing about 3 inches. Not bad. Mom is her hero tonight.

Oh Marsha I missed about the Silk Therapy!!!! It is great stuff no matter what and I use it daily on this hair of mine (how else can I keep long hair so shiny ) I discovered it in May and I am in heaven with it!!! It is also sold at Target here and it is BioSilk's stuff ("brand" Farouk) Great stuff no matter what, smells good and great on skin too!! Would do great with the hair trouble!!!

A girl in my office just had that done...and while I'd never have the courage myself, it looks really great.

So far I'm also too chicken to get a tattoo....but I'd like to.

I like tattoos, but I don't really want one myself. And my ears are pierced. That is enough for me. First you'd have to find my navel, before you could pierce it. What a depressing thought.

My kids say my mastectomy scar looks like a smile. They think I should have two eyes and a nose added to make a smiley face. LOL! Maybe I should look for some eye temporary tattoos. They probably have them around Halloween.

I figured since I am up to 5 piercings in each ear that a tattoo was next
