We have a rule at our house, you have to taste everything but not eat it if you don't like it. That reminds me, our little relative heard that fish and hush puppies were on the menu at a restaurant. She replied, "I's don't eat fish and I's don't eat puppies!" I thought that was so cute.

E, internet problems are the worst! Hope you get it fixed soon.

Allen made it to Orlando safely. He called us from Downtown Disney. He was shopping for us. He knows he better come back with something since we didn't get to go with him. LOL! He said the flight really made his ears hurt, so he was glad to arrive. He's all settled in at Coronado Springs.

The kids only have two days of school this week. Wednesday is a professional day for teachers and Thursday and Friday are fall break. So it will be a short week this week and that's okay with me.

The weather was pretty today, so we gave the dogs baths. I always hate to do that if it's very cold. They smell purdy.

I almost have my angel gift ready. Can't wait to find out whose name I have.

I'm going to bed asap. I'm pretty sleepy from getting up so early this morning. I'll check back in the morning. 'Night!

I got 2 vials of blood, 2 chest xrays (the technician was surprised at my piercing), and an EKG. Boring. And a glimmer of hope that I can be an outpatient, maybe. If I feel good enough, I think they will let me go hom,e on Friday. That will be a good thing.

Wow, Marsha! I thought I was being facetious when I said "same day" surgery for an apendectomy!

Hope it works out that you're feeling well enough to go home on Friday Marsha. Several friends have had recent appendectomies and have recovered very quickly.

The corn maze was fun but the kids beat us big time. We met another family and we let the 4 kids go by themselves...along with a walkie-talkie. It was kind of like Survivor in that you had to make it to 4 "stations" and have your map punched and then find your way out.

Those darn kids got all 4 punches and made it out before we even got to the second station! It was really cool, with a RI theme. If anyone wants to see an arial picture of it here's the link! It's got a sailboat, waves, RI, and the Newport Bridge.

Hi CS!

"Experimental dinner" night here at the LK household. I saw in a magazine that they coated chicken with dry taco mix and baked it, so I am trying a variation of the recipe with pork chops coated with taco mix and bread crumbs. Keeping my fingers crossed on this one.

Logan is gone for a few days with his 5th grade class. It is a tradition in our school district that all of the 5th graders go to an environmental center for 3 days and 2 nights. This is the first time that Logan has gone away without any of his family members, so hopefully he will stay organized with all of his clothes, etc. I made him pack everything with me yesterday so he would know what was where. Today was a beautiful day, but they are calling for rain tomorrow. Hopefully he will stay dry and warm and have a great time.
