DH is on his way to Orlando. Boo-hoo! We had a moment of concern when he couldn't find his wallet just before leaving for the airport. Turns out he put it with his luggage last night. LOL!

We are either going to church (at our new church) or taking the week off. The kids wanted to wait to start Sunday School until dad would be there with us.

I'm zoned. I've been up since 4:45. Just wasn't too sleepy when I got back from the airport. Bet I'll be looney by tonight.

It' pouring here this morning....I'll try to send it your way Steph. I'm glad we postponed the corn maze trip. Other than grocery shopping (ugh!) we'll be staying home.

I know how you feel Melissa. It's frustrating enough when kids try to make others feel inferior because they have different interests or priorities....I see that with classmates all too much. Then when they're relatives and the parents don't notice or don't care that she's hurting her cousin makes it even worse. {{{hugs}}} to you and Amy.

Carol - I've seen posts on co-ed sleepovers but our kids aren't at the age where it's an issue....yet! I too don't think they're a good idea at all. Teenagers....hormones......impulses.....it just doesn't make sense to even put them in a situation where one little "mistake" can cause a life to change forever. On another note, hope you have a good visit to the Univ of Maryland.

Hmmm....good question about color for your dress Sandi.....I'm going to think about that one.

Sorry your internet is acting up again E.

We're all kind of grumpy around here.....due to the weather and of course because of the baseball game last night. I'll check in later. Have a good Sunday everyone.

Good Morning All!!!

Sandi-I had a 'pastel rainbow' wedding too!!!:D I ca't wait to see pics from your DD's!!

Carol, hope thoses sneezes go away. WHen we lived in GA (92-95) there were many co-ed sleep overs. None at my house, that I am aware of. But the kids that were having them were very devout Baptists, I think there was little sleep happening, and they all claimed that they weren't even usualy in the same rooms with the opposite sex. But to me, it is putting temptation out there, making it too easy. BUt you know that is they want to do anything, they will find a way. A co-ed sleep over just makes it really easy. So good for you for saying no. Hopefully Sarah's morals will stay with her when she goes to college, where the oversight is nil.

Merry, I read some little blurb about your football game yesterday, being anti Texas (sorry NFL rivalry with Washington, just doesn't ever end) I am glad your team won. DHs trip sounds toooo fun.

Elaine, have they buried that new piece of cable yet, maybe it is getting wet.

Gial, another soggy east coast day? YUK.

Sunny here and 75 at 8am. Gonna be a normal day here! DH has gone off to do a job, DS is snoozing, and I am thinking about breakfast.

I had a good time at the small DIS meet yesdterday. There are pictures posted on the DIS meets board. We stopped at the drive up chapel at St Krispy on the way out of the parking lot. DS was feeling the need for confession. He got his vehicle yesterday, today he has to figure out why the passenger window won't go up, his first little problem. I'm sure he will figure it out.

I guess today I will do the grocery shopping, DH and I usually do it together on Sunday, but he says he will be working most all day. At least its cool still, he is doing an Arizona room and an outside deck.

Don't forget to PM me if you want to be in on the exchange. I am using DHs PC, so I can't tell who is on the list, but you know who you are, and if you aren't , don't forget!!!!

And I was in a pastel wedding in 1974. We all had different colors and the guys shirts matched. I think there were 8 bridesmaids. I was in yellow, and still have the dress. Dotted Swiss, very bridesmaidy, and size 11. Like that will ever happen again! Sandi, it sounds very nice, everything seems to be coming together well for the wedding.

Hello Everyone!:wave2:

MP - are you sure your DH couldn't have packed you w/ him?! It sounds like he will be having a great time.

E and Gail - hope you guys get in better moods today! i've discovered the only good thing about your team losing is that will be one less series that you have to be stressed out over.

Carol - my kids are way too young for co-ed sleepovers (unless it's their cousins). i wouldn't let them go if they were old enough. i don't understand some parents.

Sandi - the weather was so nice yesterday! it is a little cooler today, and i wouldn't wash your car since they are calling for rain. as far as the dress color - get whatever color suits you best!

Steph - we usually eat in our second dining room anyway - it's called the living room!

Marsha - glad the meet went well. will have to check out the pics.

Lars - did you have lots of goodies at the shower?!

No St Krispy's here today. Although the did put a display up in the local grocery store now. Taking an easy day today. going to my DHs cousins house for dinner w/ the rest of the IL's. my FIL's cousin is in town from Texas so that is why we are getting together. At least i don't have to cook dinner today. DH is off tomorrow for the holiday, so i hope to be able to do the riddle at some point.:(

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning all... I seem to have a break in action and I wanted to say hi to you all!!! Been watching Aristocats on the Disney Channel this morning! Very cute! The cable guy should be here soon so I wanted to get this in before I lose connection (as they work outside) So hi all :wave2: and hopefully this will be all fixed soon!

Lars, after reaading Marsha's post I just have to ask: Did your groomsmen's shirts match in color to the dresses??

SB, When I heard it was going to rain, I pulled my car outside:teeth: And then guess what?? The sun came out!:sunny:

E, I hope this solves your internet problems!

DD is leaving to head back to Temple U. I stuck to my guns and wouldn't let her see the scrapbook. I actually wanted to wrap it up and give it to her at the shower. It's turning out great!!Being the picture nut that I am, I have 3 1/2 years of pictures of her and her fiance together.

On Tuesday evening I'm hosting a Creative Memories demonstration for a friend of mine. Everyone is welcome!!

I think my oldest son, Ian, bought his very first house yesterday.
(Crossing my fingers for him) They were suppossed to sign the papers yesterday. Hoping all went well.

Actually their ties & cummberbunds (sp??) matched the color of the dress of the girl they stood up with.
We had pastel pink, lavender, blue, green, yellow & peach.

Sandi, I went to a rainbow pastel wedding where the groomsmen's flowers matched the bridesmaid's dresses. They were all dressed alike, but with the softest, pale flowers.

Lars and Merry,
Thanks for the info, I'm going to share it with BB.

Still Waiting to hear from that long lost son of mine.

Hi all! Did some retail therapy today... kind of needed it. I admit I am kind of bummed out today. The anniversary of my grandfather's death is today and on top of it, my grandmother (mom's mom, and his wife) moved out of Columbus to live with my Aunt. She's about 2-3 hours away now, and while I understand that she is old and needs help, I still hate having her so far away.

Sandi, congratulations to your DS!! How exciting!!!

Actually those pastels that you all are talking about sound very nice. Got any pictures of that to show us, Lars?

Thanks Carol! I happened across that earlier too... didn't even realize that was a new name

{{{hugs}}} Elaine. I can certainly appreciate how you feel. My dad's been gone many years but I still miss him and think of him at certain times of the year.

We (everyone except Lew that is) spent some time watching our new Lion King dvd. The virtual safari is fun and so is hearing Hakuna Matata in so many different languages. We watched most of the stuff on the second disc.

Here's a quick chuckle. We were having dinner and Matt had gotten down to the things he likes least....spinach and celery. He tried negotiating and every other trick he could think of and then decided to head to the bathroom. While he was gone Lew stuffed his celery with the spinach...:rotfl:
You should have seen his face when he saw it....and thought he had to eat it!

Thanks for the laugh, Gail! Tell Matt that if he eats at "Aunt" Laura's house, we do not serve celery or spinach!

We had a great camping weekend. The new songbooks for our troop were a hit! Carol - our breakfast on Saturday morning turned out to be the breakfast casseroles that you sent me the recipe for! One difference - they added croutons to one of the casseroles. They were very yummy.

Sandi - with those multi-colors in the wedding, you should be able to find a color that really suits you. Does your DD have a favorite color? We had flowered bridesmaid dresses at our wedding.

No time for more of a proper catch up. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Gail~You can tell Matt that this 'Auntie Laura' doesn't serve spincah & celery either! My family would throw things at me if I tried to make them eat that:duck:

Thanks Gail and thanks for the laugh!!!!

As some of you saw earlier ;) I am still having internet troubles... when will it end :worried:

And with all the junk I am doing at work, I hope my connection is working tomorrow because I'll probably be ready to play :p

Evening All!:D

We had a very nice dinner at my DH's cousins house today. They made a Thanksgiving dinner - my favorite! I ate so much, and then they had pumpkin, apple, sweet potato, and cherry pies!!!!!!! I think I ate enough to last me the whole week!

Gail - funny story about the spinach! Are you one of those parents who make the kids eat everything?! My mom did that, and it caused many nightmares about food for me! I will not allow peas, waxed beans, or eggplant in my house!

Sandi - i should know better than to listen to the weatherpeople. i've been wanting to wash my van for 3 days now.

LK - you're going to have to make a copy of those songs for me. i don't think shannon would join, but i just wanted to see them all.

E - {{{hugs}}} for you today.

Lars - you don't like celery? i don't like it cooked in anything, but i love cream cheese or peanut butter stuffed in it.

Far from it Lorraine! Matt just kept pushing...if he had asked once I would have told him he could be done but he just kept trying to negotiate. I didn't even know what Lew was up to at first and in the end he actually at the celery with the spinach! :crazy2:

Speaking of veggies....did you sing Let There Be Peas On Earth LK??? :goodvibes
