Fell back to sleep this morning which never happens. Woke up at 7:30 and had to rush to get myself a shower and get DS up for school.

Gail - sorry about the pizza!

Sandi - look forward to seeing the Paris pics. Hope they enjoy their time there.

Gaspode - I didn't hear about the wedding either. Can't wait for my mail to arrive!

Steph - how come buying me a b'day present wasn't in your to-do list today?

Hello Angels and of course Alan.

Today it's going to be 105. And sunny. Sofar this week, it has been record heaqt Monday and Tuesday, 107. I have plans to sew and perhaps lay out by the pool. Supposedly, there is a temp to hire offer coming my way today, yet I hold no hopes, this is from the recruiter who has sent me on the interview that already had been decided and then said, well I'll send your resume to the company, if they don't like any of the others I already sent. I am supposed to meet with a career counselor tomorrow, but I am going to cancel, seems they charge hefty $ for their service, and I already can get the help from AT&T for free.

Have fun shopping Lorraine. No, it never ends. We have to take care of everything forever.

E! I like the new AIM ID, slightly more mature, and probably won't get so many unwanted IM requests.

Alan, I didn't see that wedding story before, but she looks a lot like an angry Angel, are we sure Melissa did not get hair extensions and sneak away from her sweetie?

I'm about to take my oldest DD to the Dr. DW was out with a girlfriend last night and had fed the girls before I came home.

I had left DD coloring in the den while I had supper. When I finished, she was sound asleep at 6:30! I checked her temp and it was 103.8

She ran a low fever throughout the night but seems to be doing well today. Nevertheless, we kept her out of school (sending feverish kids to school or church is a pet peeve of mine, but we are fortunate to have a SAHM at the house) and are going to have her checked out.

Let's see, DW finds out Monday she has asthma, goes to the Dr. Tuesday to discover the supposed tendonitis is a ganglian (sp) cyst that makes her wrist hurt so bad, and today I'm taking DD to the doctor.

I'm making a lot of Dr. trips this week!!

I finally went into my AIM buddy list and figured out how to add names. I've added all of you that I had AIM names for. I'm mlschones, by the way.

I just had some sad news. A friend of my mothers has had her daughter living with her for the last month or so. The daughter's husband is in the military and was out of the country, so she decided to come to Oklahoma to have her baby. She had him a month early by c-section and they have been doing fine.

Dad got back into the country and went to visit some of his relatives before joining Jennifer (the wife). I thought that was a little odd since he hadn't seen the baby, but didn't think about it much. He called her yesterday to let her know that he is divorcing her. He hasn't even seen the baby yet.

Now the poor girl has a new baby and all the bills a baby brings, no job, no house, no husband. And all on the tail end of having major surgery and post-partum blues. What a jerk!

I saw the baby a week ago. In fact, he is the baby that I went to the baby shower for. He's a little angel. I feel so bad for this family. If you could spare some prayers for Jennifer and her baby, I'd appreciate it.

I feel so bad for Jennifer. This is supposed to be a joyous time in her life. I wonder what the he** got into her husband. Guys are just jerks sometimes. I wish they could go through childbirth and the emotions afterwards. What a horrible thing to do to your wife and child. {{{hugs}}} and more {{{hugs}}} to Jennifer. May she find strength in herself to get through this.

Marsha - sure, rub it in about the weather. i have the heat on, wearing a long sleeve shirt and running pants!

DD is turning 4 tomorrow. She is telling everyone that she is getting a puppy. Anyone have one to loan me so she is not dissapointed? The smaller the better.

Merry, so sad for your friend. Since she was married to him, and he is in the military, she should be able to get the daughter on Champus. And she should give him a hard, swift kick in the baby makers.

Sheesh now DH is sending me job ads! Of course, he doesn't know how to attach, and didn't send it to me (who knows where it went). So I found it myself, another Temp Agency Job, I am not going there, 3 agencies that are doing little to nothing, I don't need a forth. Plus it is a part time job, noon to 5, pays less than 9 per hour, and is in downtown Phoenix!!!! MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MP, I hope everything works out for the best for Jennifer. I can't believe he didn't want to see the baby first before visiting other people. Hopefully she has lots of family and friends who can help her out during this difficult time.

Lorraine, just wait til you see the cute puppy I got for Shannon! Just go and get one - you know she is going to be so mad if she doesn't get a puppy.

Evening All!

Loved the play last night, it was really funny and there was a great atmosphere

Was wondering, any more thoughts about an Autumn Angel Exchange (or Fall Angel Exchange I guess?!).... I've seen it mentioned a little bit and since I missed the Summer one and with things going a bit quiet around here it might be quite nice - get our morales boosted... or something!! What you reckon? I'll volunteer to co-ordinate it if you like, or am I stepping on toes?

You reminded me of my friends DH.....every fall my girlfriends & I, there are about 8 of us, go away for the weekend. This year we're going to a cabin up north but the past 2 years we've gone Christmas shopping in Chicago. Anyway my friend was talking to her DH about our trip & he said that he didn't need any details about it he was happy just to assume that we got to the hotel room & had pillow fights in our undies
