Good Morning, Angels!

We had a good time last night. I forget that Chick-Fil-A s are primarily in malls; we have two "free standing" ones here in town.

It's nice because they have indoor playgrounds and, because the food is a bit more expensive (but not much) than McDonalds/Burger King, you don't have as many wild kids in there.

We do not take many long distance trips, but since I am the only driver in the family, when we do travel, we do it casually. I'm a guy, so I like to get out and go of course, but you can count on me to make a lot of rest stops, coke breaks, etc. to stretch my legs.

Alan - couldn't check in yesterday since I was shopping most of the day!

Lars - too funny about your bathroom problems while traveling! Why doesn't he just strap a port-a-john to the roof of the car?! We have Chick-Fil-A's here at our malls! If we do a mini-meet, there is a mall w/ Disney and Chick-Fil-A's!

Carol - glad there weren't any problems w/ the kids who went!

Going to open house at the school tonight and will meet DS's teacher for the first time. He is so excited to show me his room and his desk.
For my DH's b'day, my sister whose DS goes to Notre Dame, has 2 extra tickets for the ND/BYU game in November that I'll buy and give to him. I didn't tell DH anything yet, just asked if he was busy that weekend and not to make any plans. I have him going nuts now trying to figure it out. He only has to wait until Sunday.

Alan, glad you guys had fun last night. Indoor playgrounds can be great when you have little ones. I had no idea that Chick-fil-a ever had playgrounds. How cool.

Carol, I don't drink coffee, but it sounds like you guys will need a gallon. Be careful and have a good time!

It's going to be cloudy and humid today. I can hardly believe it's autumn. I think our high is going to be in the mid-80's. I hear that a cold front is moving in this weekend with much cooler temperatures. I love this time of year, if you can stand the temperature swings.

Sloooooooow loading DIS day for me.

I don't do any long distance driving that I can't do by myself. Luis and I do not work well together in a car w/ directions for long distances... it's saner (if that's a word) for us to fly. If it takes more than 8 hours to get there, I usually fly... and its usually cheaper for me to as well.

Merry, we get similar temp swings around here... I like the average weather this time of year though... last night was a bit muggy though so we had to have the A/C on again... but of course it was chilly this morning. That's midwest weather for you!

Oh goodness... I come in here on my lunch to find Alan causing problems, poor Lorraine is getting picked on and LK is making sure that Alan gets in trouble. I like this... reminds me of my house as a kid

Hi,
Busy at work and lot's happening at home too. We got a call last night that FIL is in the hospital. He fell.....5 days earlier.....and although in pain he didn't do anything about it until yesterday. His leg is the problem but luckily so far there's no evidence of a fracture but when you[re 83 anything can happen. MIL doesn't drive so she's home. We've wondered when something like this would happen, with them being so far away. They've talked about returning to RI....they've lived in Orlando 15 years now....but this may force them to make a decision. Please keep both of them in your thoughts my friends.

I have 3 kids tonight and tomorrow.......EB's best friend is staying with us while her mom and grandparents are in CT for a family funeral so she won't miss any school.
