Good Morning Diane!
How you feeling?

About the same. I had a really bad day Friday and a really good day Saturday. Today isn't great so far, but morning is often not as good as mid day. They now know I had or have parvovirus B19. It could last up to a year or more, so I am trying to be positive, but it's difficult.

I sure hope that they're right this time!
It's good to try to stay positive....negativity won't help you get better. {{{hugs}}}

It seems the neuro problems and everything else is a result of this virus. We did know it started with a virus, but it took so long to diagnose, I don't think there is much to be done. I am still not convinced about all this. I think they have cried "WOLF" too many times. The Chronic Fatigue Syndrome it causes is a big problem, but the breathing issue is the worst for me.

Got up a little bit early for the riddle today. Just waiting for pants right now.

Melissa, what a hard thing to watch with someone you love. Big {{{hug}}} for you.

Lars - sounds like you had a great shopping day! LOL @ Matt's comments about Dylan using it as a trampoline.

I am trying another yoga class this morning. I like it - it's more intense then I thought. I am scheduled to donate platelets around noon, but my iron has not been good at all lately.:( I have a lot to do today, anyway, so that is probably a good indicator that my iron will be good and they will have me hooked up for two hours or so!

Better get moving....

Good morning everyone :) I hope you all have great days!

Merry, it's funny that your DD said that about reading the books. I had heard of them and even tried reading the first one once... I just couldn't get past the first page or so (don't know why), and because of that I didn't bother with the movies until this weekend. I wonder now, though if I could try those books again.

Lars, you sure were up early this morning! I hope you can get some rest or at least relax today :)

Steph, I hope you are right about the riddle bringing the men out of hiding!

LOL Gail! Funny somehow Lew got on the Filipino-American list. I must admit we get a ton of calls in Spanish all the time. I actually wish they wouldn't assume that just because someone is Hispanic that they would prefer to speak Spanish. That's a bad assumption to make, I think. Neither of our Spanish is that good anymore since we rarely speak it.

Diane, I too hope they are right this time. I know how frustrating it is having troubles and them not knowing exactly how to fix it. Hang in there and hopefully you will be feeling much better soon!

Morning Sandi!

LK, busy sounding day for you! Good luck with the Yoga and I hope your iron levels are high enough.

LOL Diane, I kept on looking but somehow I missed it.

Lars, New LR furniture?? That's SO exciting!! I'd love to see what you picked!
DH and I are planning on buying new LR furniture in Dec or Jan.
I've been looking but not sure what I want.
We are also getting new windows and I need new drapes/sheers/blinds something.
Well, I got all my photos together, I used my corner rounder, (that really makes them look great!!) Some, I made onto ovals get rid of other things in the pictures and I started a couple pages. On the Creative memories website, they have Pages and pages of layout ideas! Some are really inventive.
Since Meg has a scapbook, will you do one for your son?
The one I'm working on now is for DD and I will finish it up with wedding pictures then give it to her.
I'd also like to do one for all our vacations and trips!

Melissa,
I know how hard that can be. (((((( Hugs ))))))) My dad had some kind of dementia before he died 15 years ago.
Now my mom's suffering from some sort also. She lives with us and is having trouble remember things, and even people's names.
She's having a lot of trouble speaking, & searching for words.
When I take her out, I can't take my eyes off her, for fear of her getting lost, I don't think she caould answer any questions! I think the whole thing makes my brothers uncomfortable, cause they sure don't come around at all.
My kids are real good with her. She gets lots of hugs and they joke around with her and make her smile.
The other grandkids don't really even know her. It's a shame.

Morning Angels!:D

Just popping in before I check the riddle.

Both Melissa's and Sandi - {{{hugs}}} to all of you in dealing with your loved ones. That is such a scary disease.

Diane - hope you are feeling better as the day goes on.

Gail - too funny about your phone call. do you have caller ID? I do, and it is the best invention.

Yoo Hoo men who love us.................where are you?

Hello Angels.

I had too many pages to catch up on to comment.

Hope everyone has a good week this week.

Shall I change the thread title to Bernie's Angel's and TMWDLTA?The Men Who Don't Love Them Anymore???

Well, thanks Alan! I vote that we change it to "...and the MAN who loves them!"

God Bless whoever mentioned earlier about the easy way to sew on patches! (sorry, I am too lazy to go back and see who that was...) I went to Wal Mart after yoga and picked up the stuff to glue it on. That's right, Lars mentioned glue guns, but this isn't it (although I was tempted to try that way, too!). Leah is starting back into Brownies soon and I have quite the collection of patches I needed to get on her vest ASAP. The glue needs to dry for 10 minutes before I iron on the patch, so what better way to spend 10 minutes than to come here! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this stuff is as easy as it looks.

I love to look at scrapbooks, but I never have the time or energy to do any for myself. Leah's teacher last year makes a wonderful memory book for the kids in her class. We met once a month to do a page or two for all of the kids. They are such a beautiful memory of their year together.

Alas, my Mickey tattoo that I got a few weeks ago is now a distant memory. I was pleased with how long it lasted. Maybe I should get something a little more permanent next time?!?!?

Hey LK.....I got a mickey tattoo at the world too!!!!

As for the gluing of badges...eeeewww...don't do that on Logan's uniform.....the council sells a product called "badge bond" which is IMHO garbage! The patches will fall off with the first watch, and leave a stain on the shirt.

as for girl scouts...can't help you there....yet......should be fine if it's just a sash that won't get washed....

The sashes didn't need washed & as they get older they want to wear them less anyway. I never ran into trouble glueing them but I promise not to glue Dylan's!!!

Thread name change on the way..............

I don't know where John is, but I see that over the weekend Shep and Dan Murphy made token "guy" appearances.

I can't 'Net on the weekends from my home PC

Mrs. AlabamaAlan did a great job singing at the homecoming service yesterday and we got to eat a lot of good food! There is just something about having a few tables full of homemade chicken, vegetables, cassaroles, and oh so many desserts!

Then we ate even more good food at our homebuilders meeting last night! Since three of the participants had recent birthdays, there was cake!

So if for nothing more than that, it was a great weekend.

I'll keep that in mind for Logan. As a Cub Scout, there are not many patches anyway. I'm happy to report that the "Patch Attach" worked wonderfully on Leah's vest.
