Morning Angels.

Rainy ucky day here in NH. I'm tempted to ship everyone off to school and curl up on the couch with a new book....unfortunately, that's not in the cards for today!

If you're so inclined, a dear friend of mine could use some positive thoughts for her mom. On June 12th, her mom was in a serious car accident, and ended up with 11 broken ribs, collapsed lung among other injuries.

She was readmitted to the hospital this weekend for her second staph infection.....they thought she had a stroke, but fortunately, those tests were negative. It's been a long 3 months for her family, and any well wishes would be appreciated.

You'll do great with those 6th graders. We have a Boy Scout patrol and those little 6th graders are some of my favorites. See, it just depends on your point of view whether they are little or big. The high school Scouts just tower over those little guys.

I'll keep your friend's mom in my prayers, Steph. Staph infections are nothing to mess around with. That's what they thought my daughter had in her ankle last winter, but it ended up to be Strep instead. Scary stuff.

I'm still asleep for sure. Wondering if I'll ever get used to getting up this early. Can't even make my fingers hit the right keys. ZZZZZ

Ragweed is my problem too, and there is a bumper crop of it out at our new place. I told DH I was going to buy a huge tractor and mow the whole 10 acres every August 1st before the stuff has a chance to bloom! There are ragweed plants down near are marsh that are about 8 feet tall and have stocks like trees!

Merry, sorry you have had ISP troubles Ours still is kind of not so good here as well. I really hope they fix it soon. Do they at least give you your money back for not being able to get on? And my best wishes are with Josh. I hope he gets well soon.

Glad to hear that I am not alone in the allergy suffering department. You'd think this rain would be washing away the pollen but I was sneezing like crazy the moment I stepped outside

Lars, I'm happy for Chloe and the whole family. What a special Day for all of them!

Dh and I have been very busy this weekend. We ripped out the carpeting on my first floor and have been working on the Hardwood floors. We bought some nice big area rugs. I Love the new look! Our next project will be new windows, which DH can install himself.

Had to say goodbye to DD yesterday. Her classes at Temple start this morning. I miss her already.

Melissa, Congrats on getting a good offer! Crossing my fingers for you on your new house!

Sandi, my IL's have a cottage in Marienville, which is about 1/2 north of Clarion. It is in the Allegheny National Forest.

It is very hard to wake up Leah for school after she just spent a weekend staying up until midnight! Time to get her moving....

The kids are in school for a four day week. We have already had the first homework crisis. (Thanks for the link Steph. I bookmarked it for tonight when DS isn't so tired.) The kids left 10 minutes early for school because parking passes go on sale in the student parking lot today. You can see what is important.

Hiya All,

Just got back from my second Guitar lesson... I'm sorry but proud moment for myself here, in just 2 hours of tuition I know 11 chords and that makes one whole song (a Catatonia one of course ) and my tutor says he is really impressed with my quick progress! Yay!

Anyways, thanks everyone for your well wishes on the house, I'm really looking forward to getting another look at the one we want to buy tonight!

About the little kitten... sounds like the crazy sister of my friend is soon to move out of that house and will be leaving little Tilly in the care of another girl so hopefully things are looking up for her! Apparently they have taken her to the vets and she isn't microchipped (they put a little chip with a ref number just under the skin of the kitty, Mips has been chipped so now, if she is ever lost and they check they will know where to find us!!) so there is no way to trace the real owners, so sad

Gesundheit to any and all of you suffering from allergies, I am one of the lucky few who don't so I feel really bad at this time of year for those who do!

Thoughts and prayers to those who need them.

Oh, one final thing (why are all my msgs so long these days?!) I have just done a check to see who phoned whilst I was out at my lesson and.... its the California number again!! I just missed the call by about 20mins and they didn't leave a msg... grr! Who is this and what can I do to find out? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hiya again,

Just a quick note to say I called the CA phone number as my curiosity got the better of me and also we had our video camera stolen whilst in Vegas last year so we wondered if it was perhaps from the police about that!!

Oddly, I just got a message which said something along the lines of 'The PCS (?) number you have dialled is temporarily not in service...'

Anyone have any idea what that means?! I think I may post a new thread on the CB and see if anyone has any experience of this!

Howdy Y'all!

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Gaspode, I congratulate you on a decent offer for your house; that is something that I have not gotten yet!

I left work early Friday and by the time I checked in this mornining there were several pages of Angel musings to go through!

I see someone mentioned Disneydeals....boy, did I mess up when I showed that site to Mrs. AlabamaAlan a few weeks ago. My oldest daughter now has the Cinderalla quilt/sheet set along with the cast iron clock tower with mirror. It was ridiculously priced in the Disney catalog, but once it hit Disneydeals; it was just expensive

We had a good visit with my BIL and his family. They arrived at 10:30pm Friday night and we spent Saturday morning at the zoo, lunch at Cici's Pizza and grilled out Saturday night.

They left just before lunch Sunday so I had most of Sunday and all day Monday for grass cutting, more grilling, shopping for DW birthday gift, etc.

I had mentioned she would sing Friday night and it went very well, especially considering the bronchitis. We had to leave the event early and were approached by a pastor and music director who would like for her to sing at a music fest they do at their church in early November.

It is almost nine hours away, but I have the time to take off from work and it is Myrtle Beach, so we are seriously considering it!
