More news.............. Another interview request, for today, but I have to go to the airport to get DS, who is now complaining of back spasms from his recent car accident. SO I have to go help him schlep all his bags home. 2 huge duffels, his cymbals, his briefcase, and who knows what else. SO that interview will be tomorrow, hopefully coordinated with the other one, same general area. And the Dr office called, no elevated white cells, so no appendicitus. The xrays will go to the PA today, too. He should be able to look at them tomorrow and see what he thinks. I guess if he sees a stone or two, he will call. Otherwise, I just have to be friendly with the pain pills if necessary.

Alan, you are always so nice! :D

The dr called back, the xray place dr called them, I have appendicitus, they are calling the surgeon!!!!! I knew it wasn't a stone, they just woukldn't believe me. Hmmmm, mabe I have to wait for interviews, ACK! More as it happens.

Wow!

There's something that shouldn't be left untreated. Keep us posted as well as you can, but we'll understand if we don't hear from you for a bit.

Good luck; I hope they get you in ASAP, but I'm sure they will.

Wow, Marsha - what a day you are having! I hope they are able to treat you soon. Better get somebody else to lift DS's bags for both of you. I'll be thinking of you!

Geesh, Marsha. You and Diane need real help getting a diagnosis. I was not familiar with an xray to diagnose appenditis. Good luck to you.

:earseek:
Wow! I didn't know they could diagnose that with CT either! Prayers being said for Marsha. I am sure she is at the hospital as we speak (at least I hope so).

Wow Marsha, maybe when this surgery is over, you should just become an MD....you knew all along what it was.....:)

you tell that DS to schlep his own bags....or hire a damn sky cap to do it.....don't you do it.....

Ian, if you're reading, don't make us get the uniforms out!

Marsha, I just saw your news. I'll keep you in my prayers. Please update us as you are able. We'll be worrying about you.

{{{hugs}}} to you Marsha. Isn't it strange that we know more about our bodies than the Dr.'s!

Alan - for your info, my DS was all too excited to see me!!!!! We had about 7 moms helping and we did the project for all 3 classes. They had moms for the afternoon shift, so they were going to give them something else to do since we got everything all done. We were just toooooo good!

I just couldn't resist! I'm glad you got so much accomplished.

Are y'all available for other projects? (House cleaning, lawn care, etc?)

Calm down!!!!!!!!!!! I have an appointment to consult with the surgeon tomorrow, and then set up the "big day". That is at 4pm my time, so as soon as Iget home with the scoop, you all will be the first to know. And I will have my son post here if I end up under the knife any sooner (DS being much more PC literate than DH) and also while I am out of commish. ALthough since I am wireless, I can Dis from bed whilst I recover!

And I have 2 interviews tomorrow, one at 10 am and one at 1pm. It's gonna be a full day. Off to the PO to mail some letters.

Thanks for the good thoughts, PD, and prayers.

Hi All!
Wow a girl goes away for the afternoon & there's lots of excitement!!!
Marsha-Take it easy until you can get into the doc tomorrow. I'll think good thoughts for you:goodvibes
Good Luck with the job interviews!!!

Wow, lots happening this afternoon...mostly with Marsha!!!! Hope you get that darn appendix removed asap so you can feel better. I've actually had several friends undergo that surgery recently, and from their experience the easiest recovery is if it's done by laparascopy.

I have experience with this too. When Matt was 7 he had fever and abdominal pain for almost 2 weeks. Repeated blood tests showed nothing but he wasn't getting better so he was given a CT scan to rule out appendicitis. His appendix was fine but the scan spotted his problem. He had a blood clot between his liver and small intestine! He (and I) spent 11 days in the hospital where luckily they were able to dissolve the clot. As you can see from his pictures, he's just fine now!

Hi everyone! :wave2: Got a baseball game to watch!

Gail - looking good for the Sox so far. right now the score is 5-1. i'll keep my fingers crossed.

Marsha - DISing from the hospital::yes::

Alan - i'm lucky i get my own housework done, let alone someone else's!

Good Evening Everyone!

Hi all :)

Marsha, wishing you all the best in the upcoming days with the interview and the sugery

Grrr... cat getting into things... anyone want one ;)

Oh yeah, I was going to say one more thing... it is very possible that I won't be around much at all. We have an "offsite meeting" or as they call it "Team Building" (I call it goofing off) tomorrow afternoon so I only will be at work a half a day. I may not have much time to play in the morning though, so I will see you all in the evening most likely.

Since I am guessing most of you probably are asleep, I'll really say have a good day :)

It's been a rocky day for me. Had a horrible headache all night last night. I'm prone to migranes and have them about once a month. So I didn't sleep well last night. Today my head no longer hurts, but I'm a little loopy.

Amy and David are both feeling much better. Now Allen is congested and has a scratchy throat. I keep praying that they'll all stay away from me. LOL!

Cross your fingers that Allen gets better quick. He leaves for WDW for an IT conference on Sunday. I don't get to go this time. We just didn't think we should spend the money, since we are still hoping to go on another Disney cruise in March. I'm just hoping he'll make a few contacts so that when we lose our job maybe something will turn up.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, Marsha. Don't overdo it before you go to the doctor. Did your son arrive safely? Next time someone is sick, should we just call Dr. Marsha? You seem to have a handle on what is going on. ;)

By the way, I enjoyed reading your medical history. You made a miraculous recovery. I like reading success stories like that. My FIL no longer qualifies for therapy under their insurance. He had his stroke several years ago. Several therapists have opened a center where they volunteer their time in the evening for people who can benefit from therapy but don't qualify. They have even had patients as young as my kids who have been in a wreck or had a stroke. The people pay if they can, but it's not required. The money goes to rent the facility, etc. Anyway, David is going to put up a huge awning (so patients won't get wet coming in when it's raining) and build a "walk box" for the center as his Eagle project. He hasn't jumped through hoops to get it okayed yet, but it looks promising. It's a cool place with big-hearted people. Just thought you guys might like to hear about it.

We only have 2 days of school next week. I'm glad. We can all use the break. Maybe we can get some things done around here. Do any of you get a fall break?
