Morning all!!!

Lars, I think you made me happy that we don't have the riddle today... yours just made me go "huh"?

I will have PT a little early today because of the rescheduling that happened with Travis' baby was born... too bad it wasn't earlier so I could get out of work earlier :p

Enjoy the day all :)

Morning Everyone,

Can't chat today....time to build myself and ARK!!!! It's POURING here today.....uck, uck, uck

Little bit of running around this morning, followed by more running around this afternoon......see a trend??

Have a terrific day everyone.......you too John, we miss your smiling......face!

Morning! Time to wake the sleepy kids up. Leah dragged out a 1/2 hour homework assignment last night to probably 2 hours. It's gonna be a loooooong year if she keeps this up. I had to be at school last night for a meeting, so naturally DH did not think to ask the kids if they had any more homework to get done after he picked them up from Kung Fu. When I arrived back home at 7:30, they were happily eating candy and watching TV. Grrrrrrr......

Leah's teacher is very nice. She only gives homework on the weekdays, does maybe one or two projects during the year, and no monthly book reports! Yeah! She said that whatever homework they have will be able to be completed by the kids with very little input from the parents. In fact, the only reason she gives homework at all is so they get used to working on things and turning them in on a regular basis. Looks like Leah will have a good year. I will meet Logan's teachers tonight.

Hope everyone has a great day. I need to get ready for work now. Yuck.

LK, sounds like Leah should have a good year. Glad you like her teacher.

Don't float away, Stephanie! I know how you feel. We had that kind of rain last weekend.

Lars, I'm with Elaine. Huh? Guess it's been too long since I riddled. My mind is still on vacation.

Took Amy's flute to be fixed yesterday. One note wasn't working properly. Should be ready today. I hope it is, since chair tests are tomorrow.

I hope last night's homework session isn't a sign of things to come. David spent a lot of time grumbling about hating math. It's not his best subject, but he always gets through it okay. I will give him a hand for sticking with the assignment.

Back to work today on sorting and putting away. I need to have the house shaped up pretty well by September 26th. We will have a bunch of Jr. High girls staying with us during our church's jr. high youth conference. Episcopal kids will decend from all over the state on our church, and the congregation is in charge of housing them and feeding them breakfast each morning. (Both my kids will be attending. David as a group leader since he's on the Oklahoma Youth Board and Amy as a paticipant.) I want to get things cleaned up before they come. Not that they'll care, but I do. It gives the family a deadline that they'll work toward. ;)

Sounds like a good idea. So where is halfway between MD and RI?

Lars, I KNOW, I KNOW!!

LK, sounds like you are happy with at least one teacher so far. And why is it that husbands never seem to ask the "right" questions. I will get home and ask if kids have done their homework and DH will say that they didn't say anything about homework and I respond, "DID YOU ASK??"

We had a really good thunder storm last night at 2:54 AM. The dogs were really bothered so we had to crate them so we could get back to sleep. I am going to be dragging today. Somehow DS can sleep through all the commotion.

My sinuses are still bothering me today but at least the headache is mostly gone.

Have a great day everyone.

Wow, you are lucky. The guy around here that does repairs takes ages to get things done. I try to get any rountine stuff done over the summer.

BTW, DS spoke with his physics teacher about the project. She has one about building a robot and DS and his good friend are going to do it together. They are the only 2 10th graders in the class. Teacher said she would walk them through it. Sounds like she is taking an interest in helping them. DS sounds encouraged about the whole thing.

Carol, glad she is taking an interest and that he feels better about it.

I would have fixed the flute over the summer, too, but it just now started having problems. The guy said it was a very minor fix and it should be ready this afternoon. I have my fingers crossed. If not, the chair test isn't until after lunch, so maybe I can pick it up Friday at noon and take it to her in time.

Good morning Angels,

I'm back and just maybe better behaved this morning, but one never knows....

Hmm...come to think of it, has anyone ever seen me and John together?

Could it be Dr. AlabamaAlan and Mr. Yepod? :p

Morning Angels and Alan!:D

I know why John is MIA! He is soooooooo busy getting my riddlebuddy package together. I know he is going to do a fabulous job with all the time he is putting into it!:smooth:

Lars - what's up w/ starting a riddle?!

Marsha - glad to hear from you again!

Alan - :o

Good Luck to everyone's school projects and running around w/ the kids! My DS starts soccer this Saturday - that is about all the running around I have to do w/ him until CCD starts on the 22nd.

Sounds like our DH's have something else in common!!

Steph, I'll loan you my ark... looks like I won't be needing it today (YAY!!!)

LK, sounds like Leah has a great teacher. I hope things improve with her and the school work though. Enjoy the day at work (if at all possible)

Merry, best of luck to Amy tomorrow. I used to play the flute too (first band instrument for me) and I got so used to fixing a lot of it myself due to marching band 'accidents' Those are neat instrumetns the way they work.

Carol, sorry to hear about the storms and your sinus headache. I hope it goes away soon!

Alan, we enjoy you whether you behave or not. And I haven't seen the two of you together, but I've seen each of you in person and unless I am missing something, there's enough difference between the two of you to make me think you are two different people (but of the same mind frame maybe :p)

Lorraine, you have me hanging my head here in shame... I still haven't sent my stuff out... I keep looking for one tiny thing to add and if I cannot find it this weekend, I give and I'll send it out. I admit I have never been this terrible with a package :(

Too bad you don't live closer, I could have fixed it for her! If it is one note, it usually is a very quick screw adjustment, or sometimes a spring.

Looks like we all have things in common this morning! I have a sinus headache like Carol, and PT like Elaine. Now...DId anyone else have a gall bladder ultrasound first thing this morning?:p

Off soon to see the lung doctor again. NOT looking forward to it!

I also want to stop by the new place and see how far they are on the fireplace today too. It was so facinating watching them yesterday, that I got nothing else done!

At the request of the riddler who PMed me the correct answer to my riddle our friend the "dancin' nekkid chicken" is making an appearance..............

LK

Woo hoo! The dancin' nekkid chicken makes an appearance!

Diane, I was just saying to myself "I think I need to schedule a gall bladder ultrasound one of these days..." What a coincidence!;)

Alan, now that John (and it looks like Shep too!) have disappeared for a while, you need to be triple posting.

11:30 and I am starving. Time for lunch....

Ultrasounds this morning?? Nope, none here! Good luck though at the doctor's, Diane. I couldn't imagine having to deal with so many!!!

Okay LK... give us clueless people a hint there ;)

Hey...where's my chicken????

I've been a busy girl today, I was at the bank before NINE this morning, and I've got a head start on the NINE loads of laundry I have to do today.....

now I have to clean the rest of the house!

What's for lunch LK?? I had a turkey wrap...mmmmm....not nekkid chicken, but it was good anyways!

:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

can't leave any clue to the riddle, as the WMs only let me post EIGHT bouncies
