Wishing everyone a good morning and a great day!

Valerie

Off to hopefully finish setting up my classroom today!!:bounce: Then I can take a few days and relax before school starts up again.

Have a terrific day all :sunny:

Gail-The first day went pretty well for all of the kids:D If you don't count the twin's bus problems....I am happy to say that this morning the bus came! Megan came home yesterday and reported to us how friendly all the boys at the high school were...saying Hi to her & complimenting her:eek: Her Dad about had a stroke:p LOL!

:D Morning Everyone!

Had a bad thunderstorm here last night. Supposed to have scattered thunderstorms again today. I'm going to the Pirate game tonight w/ a couple of high school friends, so I hope it stops in time.

Have to take a shower now, and wake DS around 8. At least it gives me a little time to DIS.

E - happy to hear your appt. went well and that you should be pain free soon.

Gaspode - wasn't me calling from CA!

Lars - is it still raining at the bus stop?!

Have a great day everyone!

...angels. How rude!! My neighbor across the street had a garbage container dropped off in their driveway about a week ago, and the trash compay decided to pick it up at 5AM this morning:mad: !Weel, today is my DS, Todd's, 17th birthday!! Right now he is at the NJ Motor Vehicle office taking his road test for his driver's licence. All I can say is "BEWARE FELLOW BERGEN COUNTY DRIVERS!!"

Good morning all. Slowly trying to relax after the ride in I had this morning. It was pouring rain and just awful out... I hate driving through storms like that.

So Todd can't keep up here, eh? We're just a chatty bunch of people I guess :)

Melissa cool pic of your gravel garden. I really do like that a lot! Not much of gardeners here either!

LOL :teeth: Yeah, I'm only fooling myself if I really believe that ;)

Seriously he seems very nice in general and if he is making me do certain kinds of movements and having to touch me a lot, I am glad that I am comfortable around him. I'm seriously usually so shy and selfconcious around people!

Val, good luck finishing up your class room!!! And enjoy the last few days you have off!

Kimmar, a very happy birthday to Todd!!! Good luck to him on taking his test!

Good morning to all that I missed, I hope you all have great days :)

Good Morning!
SB, Weren't those storms this morning awful?? And why are there always sirens right after a storm? Crossing my fingers for you for tonights weather.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Angels and TMWLT

Seriously, I'm glad that you have a PT person that you're comfortable with..that's very important. Cute doesn't hurt either;)

Hey!?!? I am a PT person. I sure hope I am not judged on my cuteness factor. I do hope you get some relief E.

Melissa, good luck with the house.

Laura, glad your kids had a good day.

Sandi, happy to hear you had a nice visit with Gina.

Anyone know when WillyJ gets back from WDW? I know he went right after Riddlecon and I am still waiting for his trip report.

Morning! My two just left for school a little bit ago. I really hope they have a good year, especially Logan. He has had a rough last few years in school. He is in the middle school this year (5th grade) so around half of the kids will be new to him since another elementary school comes over for middle school. I will post a picture of them a little bit later.

We lost power this morning for a while. I was thinking of all of the teenage girls getting ready for school who would be in an absolute panic not being able to blow dry their hair!

I was planning on starting to walk every morning once they got on the bus, but there is a lot of rain, hail, and thunderstorms moving in right now.

Gaspode, your house looks great! I took a peek at your website.

M65, cheers for your mom for putting up a fight! What grade(s) do you teach?

Lars - ROFLMAO about all of the boys being so nice to Megan. Your DH is going to have to beat them off with a stick!!

E - hope the PT works its magic soon for you.

Sandy, {{{hugs}}} for you. You deserve much better!

Hiya, Todd! I can barely keep up with the chatter these last few weeks, so I know how you feel!

Right now my daughters are 5 and 3

When they reach high school I will have the cleanest shotgun in the state because when a boy comes in to pick either of them up (and they WILL come in the house to pick them up), I will be in the den cleaning the gun while he comes in to chat with me for a minute.

:p

I think you're cute Carol!!!! :D

I was wondering about Willy too, it doesn't look like he's posted since his wonderful Ballad of Riddlecon!

Kim - Happy birthday to Todd!!!!! Thanks for the warning about the roads in Bergen County once he gets his license. We don't plan to be in NJ for a few months but I'll keep that in mind!!! ;)

Hope the weather clears in OH & PA angels!

My DH is of the same mindset as Lars' DH and of Alan. Elizabeth is 8 and has had boys liking her for a few years already.

Please note the Minnie tattoo Leah is proudly sporting on her arm!

You ARE cute Carol... just not my type ;) I do think it helped me that he was friendly, and that is something you definitely are, Carol :)

The storms seem to have stopped for now thank goodness. We had some schools closed and on delays due to outages here. I hope it loses its strength as it heads east!

Alan, my dad didn't use a shotgun... he just growled a lot. Scared some guys to death :p

What a great pic of the two of them, LK! That Minnie tatoo is too cute!!!

You are too funny!

Gail ~
I'll put the black flag out at the NJ obrder when my DS is on the road!!:D

Well, it's my last "hurrah" before I start work again next Tuesday!! (Kids go back to school on Wednesday, but we have to be back a day earlier to get class rosters, notices to give to the students, etc....)

Another person here seeing a little one off to school...
Mandy started kindergarten today and rode the bus all be herself....I'm tearing up just typing this(wuss-- )..She will be home shortly...Can't wait to hear about her day...:)

Shep-I know how you feel...putting a little kindergartener on the bus is so scary for the parents. I hope that she had a wonderful first day!:D

Carol-I think you're very cute!:p

Alan-I like your ideas on meeting the boys! I'll share that techinque with my DH:p

LK- L & L looked adorable in the picture! I hope Logan likes middle school!

Gail-Be glad you have a few more years before EB starts dealing with boys.....it's not gonna pretty around here!

E!-I hope that the PT is able to give you some relief {{hugs}}

Good luck...we have to pry information out of our kindergartener with a crowbar!

She's like that with Church and school. She can rarely tell us about what they did in class, but she can occassionally tell us who got in trouble for what. :p

Okay, since Todd said it first.......I got a *little* teary this morning....not so much that my boys were back to school...but that time passes so quickly when you have children.
I can't believe that Patrick is in 6th grade......and waaaaay over in the next town at middle school.

Okay.....if it's true confesion time here goes.............

The night before the twins started kindergarten I was a weeping sobbing mess.."My babies are growing up";"They don't need me anymore";"They'll be gone all the time" etc......then I decided "I need another baby"......DH said "Whoa!!! hold on a minute!!!"....I agreed to wait 6 months & see if I still felt the same way....the 6 months were up in March......Dylan was born the following February:p
I still get weepy watching them grow....it's the toughest most wonderful thing on earth.......watching your babies grow up!
