Hello and welcome to this sort of a dual Pre-Trip Report of my upcoming trip report to Disneyland.

Or rather ours.

DisDancerina here on the DIS and myself are doing this trip together. And thus this Pre-Trip Report, which will hopefully turn to an actual TR. But before we go any farther, let's do some introductions.

Me-Chelsea: I would be the Pixar of this title. High school senior, ready to graduate this summer, been to Disneyland almost at least once a year since I was born. I went to WDW once in 2008 and had a blast (the link to that TR is in my siggie). I love to act, sing, dance, run, and take in everything I can about Disney. My favorite characters are the White Rabbit and Donald Duck.

DisDancerina-Dani: This is Disney (by the way, these are our actual nicknames for each other). She's a Disneyland Annual Passholder, goes way too many times a year, and loves to overplan these trips. She's a dancer, and acts and sings as well. Both of us are in our school's production of "Beauty and the Beast" in just a few weeks. Her favorite characters are Tink and Donald Duck.

Here we are (Disney on the left, Pixar on the right):

Dad: Well...it's Dani's dad but I'll refer to him as such too. He's the lovely man taking us on this trip and many thanks are owed to him. :goodvibes

Now the question...why are we "dissing the DIS"???

Well, that can be answered simply. In the Disney community, there are several different fangroups and ways of showing your fandom. Different communities like D23, LaughingPlace.com, and the DIS. There is also the world of podcasts (which is, basically, either a newsradio show for your ipod, or recorded audio...in this case, dealing with Disney). If you love listening to audio from the parks and occasionally enjoying the antics of people enjoying or discussing the parks, then I definately recommend downloading some.

Now in the Disney cyber space world, and podcasting, there is theDPN.com which is for podcasters and their fans to discuss the parks and everything happening inside the world of Disney. And every year, an event called "WestFest" is planned for these fans to gather in the parks and just enjoy what all of here love most--Disney!!!!!

So in this case, we're dissing the DIS for this vacation and going with our DPN buddies.

So now that this long explanation is over, things should be simpler from here on out. Now onto the basics:

Our dates: Leaving Thursday, April 29th and coming home on Sunday, May 2nd.

Hotel: Best Western Stoval's Inn

Tickets: Dani and Dad have APs and I participated in the "Give a Day" promotion and will be adding 2 days onto that ticket.

Dining:...I have no clue...

As this continues on, I'm sure many things will happen and we'll go about explaining plans. On this trip we'll gather at meets and have time to ourselves, just being our Disney-loving selves. Dani will probably interject within moments of this being posted. Between our busy schedules for the next month, we'll update this as often as we can.

So pull up a chair, dine on a Monte Cristo or a Dole Whip, and watch as Disney and Pixar diss the DIS.

I'll come back later to read! Followed you from that other message board!

That is just SUCH an attractive picture. I promise we'll get a better one up eventually.

We are sooo incredibly busy with Beauty and the Beast right now; it's ridiculous! But as soon as we're done; we're gonna be on top of this!
There's not a day that goes by that Westfest isn't brought up, we're that excited. I have a really full plate up to the trip (I'm going to New York 2 weeks before!) but I'll try and update things a lot! So will Chelsea... RIGHTTT?!

Hey guys!! Yes, Dani is right, we're, unfortunately, very busy with our musical this year. Rehearsals every day, ranging from 5 to 8 hours is what we call fun.... Heh. ;)

But, honestly, I promise to keep on top of this report as well as possible with Dani.

Speaking of which...I feel like there are some terms we should define before we get too far into this thing (those of you from thedpn will know these, but to our newcomers and lurkers...I'll define them)

DF--There are different ways to explain this one. The DISers out there know this as "Disney Fiancee" or something of the sort. But in this case, it has an entirely new connotation. The official phrase this stands for is "Disney Fundamentalist" but also has the explanation of "Disney Fan" or "Disney Freak".

DF hat--This will come up in the TR. The DF hat is a pair of Mickey Mouse ears with the initials "DF" in the back. They are passed around the attendees of WestFest for showing supreme fandom...by spouting off information that basically everyone knows, but they have to say anyway (I could be slightly wrong in this situation, seeing as I've never been to WestFest).

Meet--Throughout the weekend, meets will gather. Basically, this is when one podcaster (or group/team) say (in advance) "We're gonna meet up at this attraction/see this show at this time and all go together". Dani and I probably will not attend every meet, but are looking forward to many of them.

Anymore phrases will be defined as we go along. Hey, only 30 more days til we leave!!! For now, have a magical day!

Well, Beauty and the Beast has its last show tonight (:sad2:) and its been so wonderful. I'm gonna miss it.

Also, there's a little less than 3 weeks before we pack up and head up to Disneyland!!!!!! We're getting more and more excited as each day passes. Been trying to plan out where we'll be and how.

Right now, it looks we'll be driving up after school on that Thursday and leaving to come home sometime around noon on that Sunday. Maybe a bit of a short trip, but with the right people, it'll be magical!

In the meantime, I have to e-mail Disney ticketing to figure out the logistics of my additional days, Dani has a trip to the Big Apple, I have a 24 hour cancer research walk, and probably many other things to keep us busy.

Until we see each other again, have a magical day!

Well I'm here! x)

Sorry it's been so long, we've both been incredibly busy. I miss Beauty and the Beast so much, it'll be good to get some more Disney into my system soon. Despite the fact that I just returned from New York; I need a break from school, personally. It's making me have stinking spasms. Dance concert for me soon, then I can get packing!! Although my knack for procrastinating is pretty good, so I'll probably pack the morning we leave... But let's be positive and think I'll start saturday ;)

So we're choosing the events we want to attend at WestFest tomorrow and it's making me happy! I'm excited to go for the first time and I'm sure Chelsea is too!

(We need new pictures by the way.)

We are indeed getting close.

Sorry for the delay everyone. Like Dani has said, our lives have been so action packed for the last few weeks, that we hardly really have time to plan much of this trip. Not that there's truly much for us to plan in the first place.

We finally sat down and planned out the meets we plan on attending during the week, which we'll bring up in the PTR. But let me just say, I'm gettin really excited for all of them. And meeting all new friends. :goodvibes

Right now we're just a couple days away. We have a six hour drive waiting for us after school on Thursday.

Friday, we're planning on spending most of the day at Disneyland, but making a jaunt or two over to California Adventure to watch "Aladdin: The Musical" and for the first official meet of West Fest.

Saturday is our California Adventure day. Lot's of fun planned there that morning and afternoon. Some people coming to WestFest are going to the annual banquet that night, but we've decided to forego the festivities and head back to Disneyland and watch "Remember, Dreams Come True".

Sunday is once again at Disneyland. We'll be around until about 1 or 2 before having to make the sad six hour drive home. :sad2:

Well, with just under 72 hours left to go, I hope to see some of you there. And if you aren't there, then be sure to watch out for the trip report as soon as we come back.
