Disney alliance with Pandora jewelry

Not sure if people have seen the Disney Parks blog post about Disney partnering with Pandora to offer Disney-themed jewelry, but pictures have been posted online of the park-exclusive jewelry as well as what will be sold in Pandora stores. You can see pictures at the links below. Rumor has it this will be a 10-year partnership between Pandora and Disney, so there should be many more charms coming in the future.

Pandora Disney 2014 Collection Live Shots (posted 9/11/2014)

As it was announced last month, the initial collection will include 25 charms and another 16 that will be exclusive to Walt Disney properties (resorts, theme parks, cruise line, etc.). The release is stated to be around early November and will be in North American concept stores only initially (these photos do not include the Disney exclusives).

These are scheduled to premiere on November 1st and will only be available at North American concept stores.

Pandora Disney Parks Exclusives Collection (posted 10/16/2014)

These are expected to debut at the same time as the other beads, on October 31st.
These include a brand new Disney bracelet as well as destination beads.

And yes, this means that Chamilia, the previous company to partner with Disney on similar jewelry, will be discontinuing their Disney line effective the end of this year.

The store charms were released last week and the Parks-exclusive charms were released today at Disney World, Disneyland, and the Disney Store online.

I've been drooling over the online selection but so far I'm resisting since none of them are limited edition; there should be plenty of time to decide what I want.

They're offering 36 items in the online store, but the bracelet is counted 5 times because each size is listed with a different item code. So that means the online selection includes 10 of the 16 parks/resorts-exclusive items and 22 of the 25 non-Parks items. Prices range from $30 to $85.

There's a limit of 3 per guest of any individual charm or bracelet. However, as of approximately 1 PM Eastern time today, all 5 sizes of the bracelet were sold out as well as the Animal Kingdom and Sorcerer's Hat charms.

I'm not much of a fan of dangling charms, but I really like the sorcerer hat charm based on the picture, and I saw the Cinderella slipper charm at a Pandora store last week, it's a pretty sparkly light blue. This is going to be a difficult decision to decide which ones are must-haves for me and not just wanna-haves.

According to the Disney Parks blog, there's going to be a special release party in WDW this Fri/Sat Nov 7-8 in Cherry Tree Lane in the Marketplace Co-Op. I'd love to see pictures and details if anyone is going.

Just discovered this ... Based on the Disney Store item numbering scheme, you can also find most of the other Disney Pandora charms that don't show up initially if you search by the item numbers. The only ones I couldn't find were the Aulani and DCL charms.

According to the Disney Parks blog, there's going to be a special release party in WDW this Fri-Sat Nov 7-8 at Cherry Tree Lane in the Marketplace Co-Op. I'd love to see pictures and details if anyone is going.

They announced the details of the DTD event on the Disney Parks blog today.

PANDORA Jewelry Showcase - Cherry Tree Lane in the Marketplace Co-Op at Downtown Disney Marketplace in Florida

November 7-8, 2014, 10:00 am - 11:30 pm (Pandora reps will be at the store until 10:00 pm, I'm guessing the 11:30 pm time might be the store closing time)

At this event, we will be offering the 16 items found only at Disney Parks, including a Parks-exclusive bracelet engraved with the castle logo. We will also have the additional 25 charm designs from the Disney jewelry collection, which can found at PANDORA stores throughout North America and online at http://www.DisneyStore.com/Pandora. There will be a purchase limit of three of each style of charm.

When I looked at the Disney Store online this afternoon, it shows they are sold out of half of the Pandora items. That happened in less than 3 days (the bracelet actually sold out of all sizes early on day 1), so they seem to be pretty popular. Will be interesting to see if they have the Aulani and cruise charms at the event, since rumors I heard said these two will only be available at their corresponding locations (Aulani in Hawaii and on the Disney cruise ships).

Is anyone planning to go to the event Friday or Saturday? I wish I could just jump on a plane and go, but it just isn't in the budget right now.

The second wave of Disney Pandora was released today, including a handful of park-exclusive charms and a whole bunch of non-park-exclusive ones. New to this release are two different safety chains. My favorites of the park-exclusive ones are the Mickey Fun Wheel from DCA (pretty teal color) and the Epcot charm with monorail from WDW, as well as charms for the two US parks castles.

Non-park-exclusive:
Many princess-themed ones (7 for Cinderella, 4 each for Snow White, Belle, and Ariel, and 9 total for Frozen/Elsa/Anna). Also 10 other charms and a few rings and earrings.

They released a number of the new (and existing) charms in the online Disney Store as well today. At this point about half of them are still available but the bracelet is sold out except for the 7.9 inch size. If history repeats itself, they will sell out the rest from the online store within a week. I wasn't able to find listings for 3 of the charms (the two D60 charms and blue sparkling Mickey ear hat), which I assume are being held back until May when Disneyland's 60th anniversary celebration starts.
