Checked out some dates in October and November at Disney's All Stars on Expedia and price comes out at £45 a night less 10% Quidco, plus nectar points and free cancellation. Disney's UK web site is currently showing £50 a night less 3% Quidco.

Add the benefits of staying on site such as free transportation from/to MCO or if you have a hire car then free parking at the parks, then those prices seems very competitive to a number of the off-site budget-hotels.

I used expedia for my last booking at POP - got the disney reservation number within 48 hours and was able to get into MDX with no problems - got 12.5% cashback from topcashback too, and was the cheapest around!

They were similar price last October when we were looking, unfortunately we wouldn't stay in a value resort again so booked offsite but anyone that likes the values its a great price. IIRC the AP rate was £70-80/night, far cheaper to use Expedia.

Would echo this - great service and very cheap. We booked our AKL trip through Expedia for £1,000 pool view when Disney wanted £1,900 and got 10% cashback on top!

Topcashback have 12.6% cashback for Expedia bookings.

Coronado Springs is £72 a night some nights which is cracking value.

We normally arrive late in the day so to save on DVC points we book our first night stay off site and then check in very early the next morning and from one of your many recommendations we've previously booked into the Fairfied Inn at a very reasonable price.

But for our next trip the price has increased so much and there's now a charge to park your car so we searched around for an alternative and the All Stars Sport turned up at £50 after Quidco cashback plus getting £2 worth of Nectar points, so we booked that yesterday.

For those on a budget who missed the free dining plan and don't want to drive then the price in October and November at around £40 a night after cashback would be worth looking into, especially as it includes the school holiday period and Halloween.

Fairfields have got a bit pricey recently so we have stayed at the Extended Stay America LBV last couple of trips, around £30/nt incl breaskfast but its not the price we don't like the value resorts, too overcrowded & busy. As I said though, this deal is great for anyone who wants to stay onsite.

There's still some great rates on Expedia.co.uk for room only bookings at most Disney resorts and for a large group/family looking for something different in October or November then check out Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa in a 3-bedroom Treehouse Villa.

Over Halloween, checking in 25th October for 7-nights it's £1,992.06.

If you wanted to rent those same 7-days through a DVC member you'll need to rent 295-points which works out at £6.75 a point or about $11.20, so comparable to renting except Expedia offers a better cancellation policy than many renters.

The normal nightly rack rate for those dates would be $879, so for the week $6,153 or £3,710.

And although it's the same price of £1,992.06 with Expedia over Thanksgiving week for checking in on the 22nd November you'll need 326-points for a DVC rental for those dates which works out at £6.11 a point about $10.

And rack rate for Thanksgiving week is about $6,493, or £3,910

Therefore, for a few dates and room types Expedia is currently comparable or cheaper to renting DVC points.

Expedia's room discount offers might be available until 3rd March, anyone know for sure?

hi wayne , we stayed at the extended stay last year just wondered how you have found the rooms? our room was lovely very large and clean location perfect and you found us a great price but there were tiny ants all over the kitchen surfaces and walls we didnt take in food or drink in to the room apart from bottled water in the fridge to try minimise the problem .do you think we just had a unlucky one off ? have u had any issues with ants on any of your stays ? the reception were helpful and had the room sprayed but they just kept coming back

i need a budget trip and everything else about the place was perfect for what we needed

Had 3 rooms there, one yes we saw a few little midges near the cooker, I sprayed Mosi spray on them which seemed to work, other 2 rooms no problem.
Things like that are just a problem with hot climates like Orlando, Our last visit to OKW we had lizards in the room and a snake outside, a Clarion we stayed in we had roaches, a Marriott we had lizards. All part of Orlando life:rotfl2:

yes true i lived quite well among the ants until we came back one day and they had quadruples in amount were crawling over kids shoes all in the grooves in the sole and a few in my handbag made me itch a bit

still we had no other complains so i will assume it was just a one off

however those bonnet creek you have found are also quite appealing so i may look at that a bit more too
