I purchased some on Disneystore.com last year. I think they are about $35 each.
$35???? For that little bit of cheap metal?
Or is it sterling?I purchased some on Disneystore.com last year. I think they are about $35 each.
Or is it sterling?None of the Alex and Anis are real metals-it is all refurbished scrap metals-that's the point of their company- the whole recycle thing.

I have a strange question regarding these bracelets. I have metal allergies, so are the silver bracelets Sterling Silver or Stainless Steel, or are they just a silver overlay? I'd really like one if they are SS or Stain. Steel.
I'll be at WDW tomorrow & I have my eye out for either finish. I figure if I react to them I can eBay them pretty easily.None of the Alex and Anis are real metals-it is all refurbished scrap metals-that's the point of their company- the whole recycle thing.

If they are recycled scrap metal, and some weird blend at that, why are they so expensive for a thick wire and a little machine-stamped fob? Are they all like that? Is it some silly status symbol to see how many you can wear, like the silly bands kids wore? Do people tally up how many you have on or something?

They offer many different jewelry designs. And while I can't speak for the WDW prices; on their website they appear to run $28-$32. Not bad considering the company appears to be very charitable & they are eco-friendly.

I certainly wouldn't compare these to a child's silly bands. I wear what I like, if you consider someone stacking a few meaningful ones a status symbol then count away!![]()

Thanks for the info - for that ridiculous price, not my cup of tea either. It's probably about $1 worth of scrap metal. I guess I just don't get the need to have multiple, expensive, plain metal circles with little tags hanging off of them? My cousin has an armful, and I didn't realize they were that expensive. I guess one could recycle them again when the fad fades away?

I bought all three of mine on eBay from the same seller and mix the gold and silver. I got them between $13-$18 and all still had the WDW tag on the back.
I did the same thing. But for the castle, I got the Disneyland one and still have to purchase the WDW caste
