There was an older thread about that topic recently. At that time we thought it made NO sense and it was only that one blog reporting the story. That article seemed to have been written in a foreign country since the grammar was clumsy and the photo of the supposed aircraft had writing that looked Asian, which would be unlikely for a domestic airline.

The site this originated on appears to at time post fake stories, not sure if it's intentional or not. They are currently running a story saying that the Disney Parks will start run 24 hours a day next year which is even harder to believe then a Disney airline. The airline story has been removed from their site.

As much as a great idea as a Disney airline sounds it would be a headache for Disney and not just in the regulatory sense of running an airline. Sure wouldn't it be great to start your trip the moment you get on board a plane with a Disney theme? But it opens up a huge can of worms for Disney in the things they can not control but will get blamed for. In typical Disney fashion the check in/bag process would be easy at the airport, best of any airline out there. But now you get in the security line, out of Disney's control and it's very long, takes forever, and people start to get antsy and upset thinking they may miss their flight. Get through security and find out your plane will be delayed an hour due to air traffic control because of weather issues, again out of Disney's control. Finally get on the plane and things are good there as it's Disney. Push back from the gate and find out you are 27th in line for take off because you lost your spot and it will take 45 min to be air born, again out of Disney's control. Land at MCO and have to wait for a gate because you are almost 2 hours late. By the time you land it's 2 and half hours after you supposed to arrive. Most people are pissed because of the delay and blame Disney, even thought it's not their fault because their vacations are off to a bad start. Then to top it off you are trying to get off the airplane and it's taking forever because everyone is lined up asking the pilot for anytime FP's because of the delay.

I don’t think anyone here knows what it takes to launch an airline and be successful.
