Disney After Hours - Would you do it again

Yes and everything was free but for food bought in a restaurant. All ice creams from the carts and beverages found at ice cream carts were free.
Well, and merchandise. No free merchandise either.
It's my understanding they have added popcorn to the list of free items. This was part of my survey, they needed something not sweet and pop corn is really cheap. Hopefully that is now included too

Please, I'm not a nit picker, but nothing is 'free' at a Disney special event. You're paying well over $100, whatever you get, you paid for. Same for free dining. You paid more for your room than I might have, so it may be cheaper food for that but it's not free.

YES!

Carts with popcorn, ice cream bars etc and bottles of water, soda, etc.

and what exactly was free?
I went the first time they held it April, and YES I would do it again. What was free: bottled drinks and water (the usual Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Etc) and Ice Cream bars from the ice cream carts. They are listing popcorn this time, I do not believe that Popcorn was offered when I went.

I went to the first one in April and I would do it again. It was awesome, felt like you had the park to yourself. There was no crowds around for photos - you could get a perfect shot.

We went earlier this year and it was amazing! The park was practically empty, the staff seemed really happy (probably because they weren't having to deal with grumpy guests or line cutting). It was a really special experience that my son still talks about.

I don't know about this new one though. What made ours so awesome was that hardly anyone was there. At the lower price point, you might get a situation where it becomes like the parties ... I can see Disney starting to over-sell tickets as word gets out. But I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is buying a one day ticket.

Wasn't this actually "free" for some deluxe resort guests...or am I thinking of another event?

I went last year and I am going again this year. I do know so e guest were gifted with tickets to the event.

I went and it was an amazing night. Yes I went for free and took something like 12 bottles of water and every type of ice cream. If you just wanted the ears of a Mickey premium? No problem. I do remember hustling around the park to make sure I did most of the rides. It's only 2 hours of closed park time so plan accordingly!

We went in May and it was great. Hardly anyone in the park and all rides were walk on. Our last ride was Splash and on the way out we did not run in to anyone until we hit the hub. I later heard there were only 500 people attending that night. It was a once in a life experience to feel you had the park all to yourself. If crowds are limited I would do it again. If they start selling too many tickets it may not be worth it.

Yes. I have tickets for 3 nights already.

Dream experience. we all get jealous at alone in the park pics and this is 3 hours of it.

I don't know about deluxe resorts, but we got in to the first ever for free because we are DVC. It was AWESOME! There really are no words. I would pay for it in a heartbeat. We have photos of my infant crawling down main street. We had no fear anyone was going to trip on him since no one was there. We rode mine train and were literally the only ones in the train. It was nuts. Granted that was at the old price point. The lower cost will entice more people and it may not be nearly as cool.

There is free people in every ticketed event. It really stood out at the last after hours because frankly, there wasn't many people posting about it and everyone wants a no crowd park at no additional cost.

I personally am willing to pay extra for no crowds and I'll adjust my vacation to be able to afford those couple hours.

Ahhh...that what is was. I think they were offered to people staying at DVC resorts.

Yes, we went for free in May. One of the best experiences EVER at the MK. And I've been going to the park since it opened.

I went last spring and it was pretty much my favorite time at WDW in 20 years of going. The CMs weren't so stressed so they could have more fun with their jobs, the other guests weren't as stressed and were having so much more fun, and we had so much more fun too. In my opinion, it was worth it even at full price. We paid half price for our tickets though. Now that they've dropped the price and I'm sure they're going to increase the number of tickets sold...I'm waiting to see what the reviews from the new round are like, and I hope they extend it into April & May of 2017 too!
