Has anyone doing Disney After Hours had popular line overlap like FOP into the event time? If they allow guests to get into line before park closes on event night wouldn’t they overlap? Hoping they have After Hour events for my October trip and can easily see overlap from Star Wars lines. I wonder how they will handle it or maybe not even offer this event in the fall. Thoughts?

Highly unlikely they will offer After Hours at DHS this fall. While there is overlap from the day crowd getting in line just before closing, there is no more FP+ line so the lines move quickly.

My experience from multiple DAH at Mk is day guests can enter the standby line up to an untill closing time so it can be extensive. Example Peter Pan standby at closing quite lengthy. DAH guests then were allowed to enter the Fast Pass line. CM's worked as quickly as possible to eliminate day guests.

Can't see them offering DAH at Studios this fall but who knows?

That was my experience last year. We did Mine Train through the fastpass line after regular close.

Here's how it worked for us at FoP on a DAH night
Yes, with a DAH ticket you could enter the park prior to the start but DAH still has an official start time.
We were held at the entrance to the line for FoP right until the beginning of DAH. At that time, we could go in and enter the line/queue with the others. DAH is sent through the FP line at FoP. Most every other ride (actually EVERY other ride, they send you in the stand by line)
There was still stand by guests in the line. The FP line was empty by this point.
No one else could enter except DAH guests.

When we went to DAH: AK on 3/20, they asked us to stay away from Pandora until 9:00 (event had an 8:30 start) so they cold clear out the day guests. Not sure if people listened or not, but it seemed like they had a few people complaining about the length of the wait right after the park closed.

That’s awesome they utilize the FP line . Great solution! Thank you
