Disney after hours or MNSSHP?

Hi - both MK events are available during our late August trip. We get the DVC discount so I think DAH would be $15 more. It’s almost 3 years since our last visit so not very familiar with DAH. We have enjoyed MNSSHP several times in the past. Which would you recommend and why?

We have done both. I would pick DAH over MNSSHP. I will preface this with we went to DAH in March. I think there may be a possibility that it is more crowded in the summer. DAH was much less crowded than MNSSHP. It really had the feel of evening EMH from many years ago. More rides are open and free snacks!!! So if your goal is to ride as many rides as you want go for DAH. But if your looking for characters, parades, and a party feel go for MNSSHP.

Two completely different experiences and depends on your interests.

DAH = RIDES RIDES RIDES and lots of (love it)
MNSSHP = Halloween, Parade, Fireworks, Characters and costumes (love it)

Totally agree with above post. They are very different.

I would do both!! I loved DAH last January. I wish we could have done it this trip. The longest line I had was for the free popcorn. I did 7dwarves x2 right when DAH started with little wait, 5min probably. The rest of the rides were walk on.

MNSSHP is my favorite party! Love the parade, fireworks, costumes, castle show and lower lines.

I would do DAH over MNSSHP 10/10 times. That said, I think both are great and each worth doing at least once (if not this trip, next!).

Thanks everyone! I think we are going with DAH. We are two adults so going with the new experience (and more rides). Now if August would just get here!

Thanks for asking about this. I'm in the same situation and, after reading the replies, I'm leaning toward DAH. We've never done either but my daughter and I aren't huge Halloween fans and I really think some of the party might scare her. Also, I really love the idea of being able to get the elusive castle pic of her with no crowd!!
