There was a thread not so long ago that asked what you would like to see when RnR gets re-tooled to phase-out Aerosmith. So, if you want more ideas, you can do a search for that, but my vote is to leave it as-is or phase-out Aerosmith and just have it as the Rock n Rollercoaster with no band attached to it. I hate cheap re-tooling...look at the Stitch ride fiasco.

I like the Aerosmith Theme also and would hate to see a change. If they had to change it I think a Phineas & Ferb Coaster would work.

If they got rid of Aerosmith they would need to redo the entire queue and ride. Otherwise it would be just like renaming the Tower of Terror after Scary Movie or some other haunted franchise. It just wouldn't fit the current layout and Aerosmith would still be on a lot of peoples brain. No magic there.

Or yes it would be like Stitch at the least.

Back to the original rumor - I think this is nothing but a rumor. I am sure that the contract that Disney put with Aerosmith does not allow Aerosmith to back out EVER. It would only be because Disney wants out, and I seriously doubt that they would bother. Disney is not stupid enough to go Jonas Brothers or Justin Beiber or any other flash in the pan act. Aerosmith is tried and true.

(Remember, they wanted staying power with this ride...they originally tried to get the Rolling Stones, but they apparently wanted too much money.)

This is an important point. The soundtrack is half the point. You'd have to have songs that work well for a roller coaster.

You are completely write about this. I am sticking with the idea that a re-tooling of this ride with different band would be sucky, but Van Halen could have been an alternative because they definitely had the hits...I mean...who else over the last 20-30 years? The Rolling Stones, maybe? The Who? But these two still don't have the relevance to the younger generations than VH and Aerosmith.
