hmmm...I think it would be weird to see muppets in a parade at MK.

I dunno...maybe just because I grew up with Muppets over *there* and Mickey and Minnie way over *there*. You know?

What are everyone else's thoughts on this?

(sorry if this was already posted today though)

I'm glad.... they already have a marketing agreement, and maybe this way they'll make a couple more muppet movies.

This should be 25!

I think it's great! My two favorites all in one spot! Disney and the Muppets. Doesn't get much better than that. :3dglasses

Just wondering what will happen to Sesame Place? Will it become a Disney park? I think Anheiser-Busch owns it now.

The Sesame Street characters are not part of this purchase, so I would assume Sesame Place is not either.

the muppet characters are already in the MGM stars and motorcars parade.

IMHO - disney could give it's TV ratings a shot in the arm by revamping the muppet show (the one that used to be on TV quite a few years back - am i showing my age?!?!?) and putting it on some evening at 8pm. Kids and parents need something to watch together at that hour. I loved the show as a kid and now have some episodes on video - as an adult, i can see why my parents liked it so much.

Personally I am thrilled!! I LOVE the Muppets, I think I may love Kermit more than I love the Mouse :earseek: I'm so glad that kids growing up these are going to get the opportunity to know who the Muppets are. I have 5 nieces and nephews ranging from 10-2, and other than the characters on Sesame Street, they have no clue who the Muppets are. Maybe with Disney buying the Muppets, this will change.

My daughter has known the muppets, we have gotten video cassetts and such. She at one time said she wanted to marry Gonzo ;-)

Non the less, maybe we will see more of them around now.

Sounds good to me. ::yes:: I have always loved the Muppets, and I would love to see some more well done Muppet movies.

I'm with you on that one! I remember this one act on The Muppet Show: George Hamilton was one of the guests, and Miss Piggy had the biggest crush on him, but I don't think he reciprocated that sentiment ;) ! While she was swooning over George, Charles Grodin made his feelings known to Miss Piggy by serenading her with "Once, Twice, Three Times a Lady" . She then forgot about George and "went off into the sunset" with Grodin.

Does anyone else remember this episode? I think I was about 5 or 6 when I saw that so that was in 1983 or 1984. (I hope this was a real episode and not some crazy, bizarre dream I am divulging to everyone on this thread :teeth: :o  :magnify:  !!)
