We are booked on the 4 day Disney Wonder cruise starting 9/18/05. We will be in Nassau 9/19/05. When we booked last summer (yep, that long ago, but we got an SPR!), the departure time was 10:30 pm. A couple months later, it changed to 11pm. Now, it says 7pm. Is that right? We leave Nassau at 7pm? Why?

I think it is because of pirate night on the ship, deck party and fireworks. I think this is a bummer, why cann't they have the pirate night after castaway cay? On our 1st cruise in 2000 we left late and it was nice to have the kids in the clubs and go to Atlantis a few hours for the Casino. We go in 2 weeks and really wish we were leaving later. The pirate night show is cute, saw it last year on the Magic and this year I am looking forward to the fireworks.

:cat: On our 4 day Wonder cruise 2 weeks ago, the "all aboard" time for Nassau was 1:45 AM ! Sail away was 2:00 AM. Pirate night was after the Castaway Cay day when you had to board by 5:00 PM.

Now I am really confused. I just went to the DCL site and it says you leave Nassau at 7:30. How do you find out for sure, wait and look at the Navigator. I'm not a super control planner but I would at least like to know for sure when the ship leaves, I at least want to be on the ship, Nassau is the last Island I want to be left on.

I agree. I'd like to know departure time as well. Looking on DCL site, I cannot find an itinerary for my sailing per se, just a general itinerary for the 4 day trip which says 7 pm. I think I'm going to email my TA, DU to see if they can find out for me. I'll let you guys know what I find out.

Let me know what you find out, I e-mailed DCL waiting for a reply. I'm thinking that times might differ, only because every so often the crew is given time off to enjoy the ports, we saw this at Cozumel. So maybe sometimes the Wonder will stay in port longer and change pirates night to Castaway Cay night. I don't know, anybody have anyother ideas as to why the times change? I'm going home to see if my docs are there, maybe there will be something there, can't remember if thimes are there.

From what I have read recently on these boards, Pirate night on the 4-day has been changed to Castaway Cay night for at least the past 2 months. Hopefully it will stay that way for our Oct cruise.

Henlady,
When are you cruising, we are on the 0ct 16 wonder and we are from central Penn too.

Hello fellow Pennsylvanians. I live near Philly. My next cruise isn't until next November.
Welcome to the DIS boards.

We are on the Oct 23 4-day Wonder. Originally wanted the Oct 16 but with a "secret porthole room" and there were none available, so we moved to the 23rd cruise to get stateroom 5024.

Just returned from the four night Wonder cruise...Pirate Night pirate: was on Castaway Cay night and the all aboard at Nassau was at 7:00 pm.

I got an email from my TA who confirmed with Disney that we are currently scheduled to depart at 7:30pm. She said that could change when we get on the ship however. Why oh why 7:30? Especially if they've moved pirate night to CC night?

I can think of a couple of reasons.

1. A lot of people complain that they don't like Nassau. We enjoy staying later and being able to vist Atlantis at night and going to the casino.

2. When the ship is in dock the stores cannot be open, Disney might lose a little money.

3. When the ship is in dock some people might by drinks in town, Disney loses money.
