Thank you! These are cute! ... And the "Cooking up some fun" happened when I was trying to go to sleep and finally gave up and came back to my craft room last night! ... I'm going to a craft retreat this weekend .. (leaving today) and was too excited to sleep .. of course now I'm really really tired!

Thank you! ... Actually I'll have Wifi in my hotel room .. just not in the conference room .. so I'll be able to check the board.. just not as frequently!

I tend to chat more at this particular retreat .. so this time I have chosen to take some crochet/knit/hand sew projects vs. scrapbooking .. because it takes less focus on my part...(And less room in my trunk!) I'm taking a variety so I don' get bored... and of course there is always the pool/lazy river at the resort to explore!

no camera!!!!!! but will you mention it in your scrapbook?! My DH jokes that "if it isn't in the scrapbook, it never happened!", he calls me the Ministry of Truth like from 1984. DD claims to remember some events from her very early babyhood but DH noticed that when she describes them it is almost word for word what I wrote on the journalling for that event in the scrapbook, LOL! He even gave me a byeline.... "Changing the past to control the future" or something like that, I can't remember it exactly (because it's not in the scrapbook!). I'm taking it all as a compliment

Well someone will have a camera .. and we do take a group picture... but I'm really going minimal this trip... more of a "vacation" ...

My son's life is documented from birth to age 21 (he doesn't take many pictures now and I only see him 2-3 times a year...) including special albums documenting his road to Blackbelt in Taekwondo (he's now 4th degree black), his band trips to China and the Macy's Thanksgiving parade in New York - and his spring break band trip to Disneyland where he marched and played the same song we did when I marched there 33 years earlier! People joke that he'll need a U-Haul trailer (and a special room) when he inherits them! (Over 50 albums!) .. My childhood albums number 2.. not as many pictures ... LOL! So there is a lot of "truth" in his albums.. not so much in mine (although I am re-doing our Wedding album) and some other family history albums...

Here is something I worked up for your oceanview... couldn't decide between these 2 so just put both up - if you were thinking of something different let me know.



Filler card for you -

atlantis is a resort in the Bahamas. We are taking an excursion there when we stop there on our cruise

DH and I went to Sandals in the Bahmamas and spent and afternoon at the Atlantis - it was very nice but much to large for me to ever want to stay there. Hope you enjoy your excursion there

Oh the horror of not knowing Candyland But I see you figured it out and the cards look GREAT!! My kids loving playing and fun to see them playing something I grew up playing as well.

That is so funny! However, it is so nice to have books for the kiddos to look back on a remember things that might not be as clear in their minds.

I LOVE this one !! Definitely going to use soon in my non Disney album! I just love this filler cards that I can put a bit of Disney in my every day life and albums

Delighted you all like the best day ever card. I've started making my silhouettes from colouring pages now so they keep lots of the details lines - I like the effect

Just another reason why I need to do a cruise! The cards are really really cute! ...

He'll treasure them .. but his future wife whomever she may be .. will enjoy seeing the layout of his one and only temper tantrum! ... He was throwing a mean one .. and I got out the camera and started taking pics (back when it was film!) ... his tantrum stopped .. he got this quizzical look on his face ... and then he went back to normal - after I told him this was going in his scrapbook! LOL! He was never surprised at when I took pictures of "non-events" again!

Craftyladylyn, LOLing here at the photographing a temper tantrum (especially with expensive film!! ) Those moments when you think "I should step in buuuuuuttttt... it would make such a good photo!". I think you always know scrapbookers by their photographing of "non-events" - they make the best pages! I find birthdays and Christmas the hardest to scrap as I have to make an effort to make them look fresh and exciting every year whereas some random "oh the kids covered everything in sudocream" page... well I can go all out with something like that!!

Now... I hope your retreat is going splendidly! I have some cards that are actually from your request this time The lifesized Candyland game... hope you like! As always shout out if you'd like changes!

1. World's largest Candy Land Game (or Candyland) ... Hasbro teamed up with GKTW to create a lifesized Candyland game - The kids are the tokens and they play this in Matthew's Boundless Playground...Hasbro also made a GKTW Candyland game that each kid receives when they are at GKTW. (I've played it at a Crops of Luv retreat (my team won! ) .. it is a lot of fun! (You could probably find the game icon in the GKTW store...)...

I think you always know scrapbookers by their photographing of "non-events" - they make the best pages! My retreat starts in a few hours.. I came up last night because I love this resort.. they put me on the 5th floor.. (I had requested the 11th - because last time it was soooo quiet!) .. well I think I LUV the 5th floor better - I've got an actual patio that is three times as large as the balcony on the 11th! .. Last night the resort had a light show (laser) against our side of the building ... (we were asked to close our drapes) ... I was able to lay on my patio and watch the light show (at least the 6 floors above me - don't know what was happening below - but then I wasn't with the crowd!) they had technical difficulties so I'm going to take a break from the retreat tonight to see the entire show...)

(And can I just add two more to the list to make it a new order of 4??? (I'm going to assume yes... because I think it slipped through the cracks...)
