Disney 3x4 and 4X6 journaling cards *accepting requests*

That card is lovely chasingmarcus, I hear you on the frustration issue. I have a lot of started cards that just refuse to let me finish them, it can be such a struggle. I often sleep on cards, and usually get inspired to fix them when I get up whereas I could have spent ages fighting with them the evening before!

On the line issue... Can I help? Do you just not like your lines or how the cards look with them? I use the same layer copied onto all my cards for my lines, it was originally created by copying iloveeliot's carefully thought-out spacing and they're a good size for either digiscrapping or handwriting. Then I flood fill a layer above the lines to whatever colour I want for the new card and clip it to the lines. So I know they will work out well each time. Would you like a png of my line layer? I ask because they were also driving me mad at the start until iloveeliot invented the perfect spacing :)

I am so ready to give up working on things! I have been working for hours and nothing seems to look right. I was at the point where I was about to pull my hair out and decided to stop.

I made this one for The Chef's Counter at Napa Rose. It's not exactly what I had in mind, but I think it will work. My lines don't come out well when I try to do them, so it is line free:)

I am working on these at the moment from your request on post 266. Did you specifically want tiggergalttfn to do them? Let me know and I'll amend my list :)

Yay! I'm sorry I didn't know if my request went threw ...thank you so much can't wait :)

I'm wondering if anyone would like to work up a few cards for me?

Disneyland
Graduation Mickey (i.e. Mickey in a black cap & gown)
Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour

Thanks so much :)

newlittleminnie, Here's PhotoPass+, much earlier than anticipated. I had thought I'd need a chunk of time and brain power to extract the Photopass logo but I had a sudden inspiration and decided to recreate the logo from scratch instead. Much faster, not exactly the same due to font differences, but I think it's a pretty good match :) Plus with all the extra time I saved I played around with the clipart a bit pixiedust:

Pixiesprite - so cute - love them!! I am so using those for my album!! :thumbsup2 It's it funny how you can be working on something and just get a creative block and then inspiration just strikes :upsidedow

These aren't specific to MNSSHP but general Halloween cards. Two of the say this is Halloween because that is a line from a song during Hallowishes. I am planning to work on some more but wanted to work on some other requests first. Some cards come together more easily than others and these were being tricky for me. If there is something specific you had in mind or if you want me to go in a different direction please let me know. Most of the clip art I have found so far was not good or I would have had more character Halloween cards.

Roni - love the Halloween ones! I really want to go to WDW when they have MNSSHP - how fun would that be!??! I'm tucking them away for future use or I might just use them at Halloween time just for something fun in my album ;)

On a more positive note, I did finish plotting out the Disney perler beads patterns for my daughter's easter basket!

Chasingmarcus - The card is just lovely!! :cheer2: Yes it can take some time to do cards especially at 1st when you are learning. But don't get frustation and keep disigning pixiedust:

Pixiesprite - I say keep working on them ::yes:: I am still under the weather and have several I am in the middle of right now.

This came out great! Don't give up! The more of them you do they become easier. Still some come together easily and some I spend 4 hours on and still can't get to come together. lol Keep going!!!! I can't wait to see more :)

PixieSprite, Thank you so much!!! I love them both! I did think of one more I would like to have that I didn't see in the photobucket file. Do you have one for Typhoon Lagoon? I may think of more I need once I start organizing all of my supplies!:rotfl2: I do have a suggestion though. Some generic cards would be nice with say just a small Mickey Head or things like that. Just a thought. Even cards with qoutes would be fun! I did see the "Keep Calm" cards and of course had to download those!

Thanks so much for all of your hard work!!

Robin

Still coming up with ideas for these. Were you thinking filler cards where the quote or image take up the whole card, or were you thinking journaling cards with a quote at the top or bottom and room to journal. I just want to make sure I create what you had in mind. :) Any favorite movies or characters you want me to include quotes from or should I just pick what I think would be good?

I don't want to take any more requests until I get a little more caught up as I don't want to keep people waiting for too long and I am S-L-O-W. Just letting the other designers know. Hopefully I'll get caught up in the next few days and can jump in and take some more requests.

Tiggergalttfn We went to MNSSHP and LOVED it! It was totally worth the money to us! Definitely do it when you are able. We spent the whole time watching the parade, fireworks, villain show, and meeting characters like all 7 dwarfs and Lotso. It was awesome and the only time adults can wear costumes at Disney. I was Snow White and DH was my Prince!

Here id the list of requests I still have outstanding. If I am missing any outstanding requests please let me know!

Wizarding World of Harry Potter (I have gotten a start on finding images for these)
Lego Store (just started finding images for these also) Ooh, just got a second idea for this right now and I like it! yes!
50's Primetime Cafe
Cards with quotes on them
Some additional MNSSHP cards (if the total block I am having for these lifts and I can get something to look right! Not making any promises for more unless someone tells me they really want more. Then I'll gladly keep working away at them! :) I want some more for myself anyway but I may drag my feet unless someone motivates me! lol)

For the lines I always use Times New Roman, font size 12 line spacing size 24. It just looks right to me though I haven't written on them yet. Some cards don't seem to look right to me with lines. Unless they look horrible I usually include the option any way. Sometimes I will pick a line color that is the same color as the background only darker if nothing else looks right. I have also done blue lines over a sky blue background and made the lines over grass a dark green. I seems a bit less distracting that way sometimes. Also if the lines still don't look right I sometimes keep everything the same, switch to a white background behind where the lines would be and add lines. I usually don't like the card as much when I do this but at least people have a line option that looks passable to me. :) Hope this helps!

No worries :) Because there are a few of us DISigning on this thread, we have a process whereby one of us will claim each request that is made. Because of timezones etc. & thread chatter it can be a few posts or even a day or so before your request is claimed. Easiest way to check up on who has taken it (or to make sure it hasn't slipped by our beady eyes) is to use the "search this thread" link near the top of the page & try your username or the text and the "claim" post should show up. If nothing shows up other than your original post & it's been a few days, please post a reminder for us :thumbsup2

I should have DisneyQuest for you later today, I have two designs done for you, one is a bit fun :)

wdwmickey, I'll add these to my pile, should be mid next week! Let me know if there is a rush?

Pixiesprite - I say keep working on them ::yes:: I am still under the weather and have several I am in the middle of right now.

Poor you tiggergalttfn, feel better soon

Iloveeliot, love those MNNSHP cards.... we'll be using them! We went to it years ago and are hoping to go again this year, myself & DH were a fairy & a pirate on our previous trip.

As Iloveeliot did above... here is my list of requests:
Let me know if I've overlooked anything!

Disney Quest & Splittsville
1900 Park Fare
Beaches & Cream - Kitchen Sink

Toon Lagoon
Marvel Superhero Island
Seuss Landing
IOA

Disneyland
Graduation Mickey (i.e. Mickey in a black cap & gown)
Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour

I should be up to date by mid next week but keep 'em coming! This is a fun hobby, challenging yet rewarding and I am learning lots on Photoshop as I go along :)

me again... for the DISigners (and anyone else who is interested), I've noticed that http://www.wondersofdisney.disneyfansites.com/frontdoor.html doesn't come up on Google Image searches, I'm guessing the owner hasn't tagged the images, but there is a huge amount of clip arts in there, they are of varying quality but there is a lot there. Especially of the Fab 5.

Just thought I'd mention it as I have been using Google image search rather than going thru' sites but I've now started checking here too. It's listed in the list of cliparts sites on the sticky in the forum but that list is soooooo long :) Just to warn you though... the site is very 1990's-early-internet in its design & navigation... prepare for a trip down memory lane!

Also.. if people are looking or free fonts that are completely "FREE" not just "Free for personal use", dafont has a huge selection of really good ones. All the fonts in my cards are listed on each card's photobucket page if anyone likes any of them.

To see only the "FREE" fonts in dafont, click into any of the subheadings, eg. San-Serif. Then click on "more options" and you can then select "FREE" then hit "submit", then as you click in and out of the different subheadings this selection should remain, so you know all the fonts you are seeing are completely free to use. It is surprising how many great ones there are!

I jumped over to the other thread and found the Typhoon Lagoon! I also found several generic cards that are perfect for what I was looking for! I did think of another idea that might be good. What about a "Top 5 of the Day" card? That would be great for an ending of each day of a trip. I always do a "Top 10" at the end of my trip. I wish I could design things like this, it would be so much fun! I am so not good at photoshop! I wish I were, but I just don't seem to be able to find the time to learn! Lucky for me, there are creative people like you guys that are nice enough to share your wonderful creations!!!

Robin

Hi Robin -

hope this is what you were looking for. Let me know ::yes:: I can't decide... should these have lines beside the numbers or do you like them like this?

3x4 journaling cards -

Here is one version of MNSSHP - I have a couple other ideas but they just don't seem to be coming together so I'll keep working on those ::yes::

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 3 x 4 cards -

Disney quest & splittsville ?

Curious & Curiouser, here are your DisneyQuest cards. My favourite thing about DQ is the old arcade machines :) So... I made a Pacman inspired card (my dotty border was just calling out for a Pacman card!) & also a regular card. I've done both with black backgrounds as the black shows up the DQ logo better. They'll work very well for digi-layouts but might be hard to write on for printed cards so I've included white versions too :) Enjoy!

*********** please see my new thread for cards :upsidedow ***********

newlittleminnie, delighted you like it! I stole a few extra minutes just now and finished off your "Landscape of the missing u" card! I've made two versions, enjoy! It'll probably be Friday before Photopass+ is done or more likely sometime over the weekend :)
