ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Planning a trip to the happiest place on earth? Walt Disney World and Google Earth have joined forces to re-invent the way people plan and book vacations to Disney World in Orlando.
The new interactive tool allows guests to view Disney's Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disneys Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, hotels and resorts in 3D at their computer.
With about 1,500 3D models, it is the next best thing to being there. A quick click of the mouse will show the guests a detailed, 3D image of the selected attraction.
The convenient tool then allows the viewer to purchase tickets, make reservations, and map out the vacation that is perfect for their families. "Guests and travel planners can now explore our world with just a few click of a mouse. They can book vacations while being immersed in what the destination has to offer, said Walt Disney Parks and Resorts chairman Jay Rasulo in a release.
