Disney 12x12 ABC Page Swap/MAW:COMPLETE

Good job Rita!

I have my I love disney page designed and will set aside the supplies for it. I will get back to this after I finish other projects that are due sooner.

I love how the title goes around the top of the page. That is different and looks really cool. The colors are nice and bright. :thumbsup2

Oh good. Im so glad everyone approves. Never having done this swap before I was really worried about it.
Thanks everyone!

I did check my ribbon supply so ther will be some variation but still very close to the original theme. I hope thats ok.
Using blues, greens and oranges and they all go with all the other stripes, or "Lines".

Ok...here is my Earning my Ears page:

Nothing is glued down, so it may appear a bit lop-sided. For the most part, each head is altered in some way. One has a stickled outline, one has another layer on the outline, one has a swirly punch on top, two are velvet paper, one will be dry embossed and chalked. It is not shown in the picture because I forgot to do it before photographing. there are a couple that are just plain paper and some are going to be pop-dotted. "earning my" is stamped in white. "Ears" is welded in SCAL and white with a black shadow. That is where I was using my E and not in "earning". I need to add the journal lines still, but wanted to wait until everything is attached and done. I am a little unsure about the E in Ears. I guess I need to embellish it, right? It is already bigger than the other letters. What do you guys think? I was leaning towards green flock or carrying the red stickles over from the one Mickey head. Do you guys think one of those would be good, leave it alone or do something else?

The "E" does need something to draw it out a little more. I would pick which ever technique you don't mind doing over and over and over. ;)

I love all the Mickey heads. It is a great layout. :lovestruc

Your page is so colorful. I think it really pops and looks great. Maybe you can stickle in red or another color and outline the "E" to make it stand out more. It does need to stand out little more than the rest of the title, but other than that it really is a fantastic page. I love the background paper. Never knew how to use it.

Thank you guys!!!! I slept on that E...I have three options that I am considering now. Either one will bring it out more, but also coordinate it with some other something on the page. I will either stickle the outline in red (like the one Mickey head), do green flock (like another Mickey head) or do some green flock dots and then chalk some blue around it (the opposite of the patterned paper). Does anyone have a preference? I am kind of leaning towards the straight flock. But, I'd like to know what everyone else thinks.

One idea to further embellish the E is to put a Mickey ears hat on top of it. There is one on the Mickey font cart (page 133), or you could just cut a Mickey head just to be the ears hat...

Just a thought...

Very cute page!

They all sound like a great ideas. Don't think you will go wrong with any of them. The idea with the green flock dots and then chalk sounds pretty cool.

Thank you! That does sound like a good idea!!! Let me see what Nemomom thinks!!!

I like the idea of still doing something to the E surface, but adding the ears on top...but if you think that would not be a good idea to have it on more than one, I will just go with the surface. Please let me know...I will definitely not take it from you.

OK...I feel like the grren and blue is going to be the most bold and stand-outish!!! LOL New word??

Oh please if you want to do the ears please feel free. I was just being silly. No coffee yet. I stayed up to late and missed my gym class and everything. :sad1: I was scrapping to late.

I just looked at the groups and my "Q" is in the second group (B) and you are doing Group A so it would not even be in the same group.

Oh....that works out fine then!!! OK...I have all of my ears cut and titles and shadows cut. Have to embellish ears, cut mats, cut outside borders and red pieces, embellish E and cut ear hats for E's...then assemly line!!!!!! I am planning to get the next letter up by the end of the weekend. It is Y - yummy!!!

That's really cute! And I know exactly what picture I'll be using for it... a version of these two pictures combined... except with my name!

(can you tell I'm getting excited?)

Erin...super cute layout. I love it all! The colors are great and I love all the different types of ears you have.
