Disney 10 DAY WEATHER Forecast BAD

That's a typical summer forcast, be thankful there isn't a hurricane in it, considering the season. ;) Try not to worry they'll just be quick late afternoon thunderstorms, unless I tropical system pops up, fingers crossed that doesn't happen!

Please do not use the "H" word! :rotfl:

Sounds like you'll be there at least part of the time I'm there. It always rains, alot, when I'm there, I seem to bring it with me! :rotfl: But we don't mind the rain, it cools things down so much! Bring on the rain! One year it rained 7 inches in one day while we were there, I think that was July '03. We stayed and played! :goodvibes

if its rain every afternoon over there..
then for how many hours or minutes? (usually)
This was the exact same forecast I had in August last year..It rained maybe 20 minutes to and hour each day..That's really just Orlando in August

Around here anyway, when they say "50%" it means they haven't got a clue..

Well I have been looking at www.accuweather.com and also nbc national weather website. They both give the extended forcast but both are different. Oh well, will just have to wait and see. :confused3

Oh that looks like fairly decent weather, thank goodness it isn't going to be too hot. I can deal with highs of around 92 fairly easily since that is around what it is in Maryland too. I was afraid it was going to be highs of 100+ when those happen it gets really nasty.

I love the mid-afternoon showers, they always cool off the weather a bit for the evening. I use to be a lifeguard in Atlanta and I adored the mid-afternoon shower because it got everyone out of the pool and an extra long break for me every afternoon. I've never had a problem walking through the 20 minutes of rain at Disney either, it normally clears a lot of people out which means the lines are a lot faster during and after the rain.

I am in New Orleans and we have weather very similar to Orlando. We have afternoon thundershowers almost every single day in the summer. Here, when it says "40% chance" or "50% chance" of rain - what they are saying is that somewhere in our area WILL have a rain shower that day (usually, afternoon). The percent is actually saying what percent of the "viewing area" will see that rain shower. If it is 40% chance of rain, it isn't 40% chance that we will have rain and 60% chance it won't rain at all. It means that there should be a rain shower that day that - and it should affect about 40% of the area. If it is 50% chance, about half of the area will get some rain and about half won't.

Because of how the showers develop between the gulf coast, the lake, and the river (it is the heat/humidity/area proximity to water that causes this sub-tropical summer rain effect), it tends to be the SAME people every day. Around here lately we've had about 40% chance of rain, and I've seen it just about every day because of where I am located - the clouds form in the same general areas and move over the same areas a good percent of the time. Usually it is one or two large rain clouds that pass over, lasting about 30 minutes to an hour (if that long) and then it is gone.

Being a weatherman in Florida is easy during the summer, just put a 40%-60% chance of thunderstorms daily from June through September and you're an expert. It can rain pretty much anytime.

I'm also in South Louisiana- so very similar weather to Florida- was going to explain the same thing ssleblanc posted- basically with the high heat and humidity we usually get rain somewhere every day usually in the afternoon to early evening. Sometimes the storms can be quite severe but they are usually realy very short.

Just don't wear white clothes and enjoy the cool down the rain will bring.

thanks, VirtuallyMe.

when the rain season stop?

I'm in central Florida and we just recently had a dumping of rain. It lasted maybe 20 minutes, dropped buckets, then stopped.
