Disney 10 DAY WEATHER Forecast BAD

that doesn't seem bad, typical of this time of year. WE have the same forecast in Atlanta, and we do every year during summer.

That's a typical summer forcast, be thankful there isn't a hurricane in it, considering the season. ;) Try not to worry they'll just be quick late afternoon thunderstorms, unless I tropical system pops up, fingers crossed that doesn't happen!

For some reason I like to look at the 10 day forecast the entire month before I go on a trip to Disneyworld and its pretty much always the same. I think its a safe assumption this time of year you'll get scattered thunderstorms every afternoon.

Don't look bad to me. :sunny:
Also, when they say a 40%(OR LESS) chance of rain, that usually means it will be a sunny day.

This will be our third trip during August. It usually rains every day for a little while. Try not to worry about the weather as most of the day will be dry :sunny: .

When are you going? I keep looking at my countdown

From someone who is happy when they get the forecast right from one day to the next, I wouldn't put too much stock in a 10-day forecast--it's as likely wrong as right.
Hope that everyone has good weather!!

There is always the chance of rain during the summer. If it happens, most of the time it is quick and lasts less than 15 minutes. It will be hot until October so that isn't that strange either. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Gosh when I saw this post I nearly paniced as I thought there was something happening in the tropics. I think it sounds like a great forcast. Even cooler than it is going to be here in VA.

John

Here at home this would be a bad forecast, but having been in WDW several times in August, I checked the 10 day and thought "Oh good, no bad weather for the upcoming week!" We have found that at this time of year the forecast is almost always the same, and that as other posters have said, it almost always rains for a little while in the afternoon. A bad forecast is one with the H word in it!
My official 10 day forecast is for:
Sunshine, Magic, Fun, Sunshine Magic, Fun, Sunshine, Magic, Fun and more Sunshine! :sunny: :cloud9: :sunny: :wizard: :sunny: :cloud9: :sunny: :wizard: :sunny: :wizard: :cloud9:

It's August in Orlando. Here's the forecast without looking...

High around 92 with 50% chance of afternoon thunderstorms.

Anne

Looks like a normal Aug. in Orlando forecast to me. Don't worry about those thunderstorms. Most likely they'll be short ones every afternoon like clockwork. They pass quickly. So long as a Tropical Storm (or more) doesn't come thru.

In 2003, it rained every afternnon for about 20 minutes. By the time the rain started we were either back at our hotel or on our way back. I have read that the parks are at their lowest during the day when it rains and rides are walk ons. If you're in a park, you could just duck inside a shop and look around until the rain stops.

I have no idea how this is considered bad! We'll be there next week and that is great! It almost always rains for a few minutes each day - no big deal!

When we were there in June/July, it would be warm and sunny most fo the day. Then the clouds would roll in about 2, and between 2:30 and 3:30 a brief thundershower would occur for about 20 min. (we either experienced this from our room or the bus because these smart kiddos are all about our afternoon break!), then it would clear, become sunny and hot and life was good. Happened all but one day of our 7 day trip.

What is it? I call it normal. :thumbsup2

Everytime we gone to WDW we always experienced that type of forecast. Also we could almost always count on a quick rainshower almost everyday down there with the exception of our Dec trip. Atleast the times we were there.

But what if it says 50% or 60%? Does that translate to a rainy day?

Whats bad about that?

Florida + Summer + Humidity = 1 hour Rain/T-storm around 5:30 pm.

Its like death and taxes.

Just have a poncho and go on your merry way.

I prefer accuweather.com. It gives you a 15-day forecast.

I just looked at that today as I am leaving next Thursday. I do expect rain at some point each day, just hoping it isn't a wash out or that H word. I went last Labor Day Weekend. It rained for a few hours straight two of the days out of the weekend.
