Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Coming to former Reflections Site in 2027!

I'm somewhat confused by the proposition that more hotel rooms means more people in the parks. This seems to totally discount the concept of people who stay at off-site hotels but still visit the parks. I have no idea how many people in the parks on any given day are actually staying at a Disney resort but I don't think it really matters.

Yeah I would figure that the goal isn't necessarily to increase park attendance by a bunch, but to entice those guests staying offsite to stay onsite instead.

If they have trouble filling the new rooms, I could see them adding/expanding more onsite benefits (longer early entry, more extended evenings, etc) to encourage more onsite stays

Yeahhh that's why this place is gonna be a no from me. I could see myself staying here for a couple nights and enjoying the lazy river at the end of a trip but the location isn't the greatest and the modes of transportation don't seem that great either. With how big the resort is it feels like it'd need to borrow one of the ferries instead of the small boats that usually go to the resorts.
Same for me, way too huge and do not like the modes of transportation. I dont see how this isnt going to have an internal bus loop. I guess theyre going to have a lot of resorts that take years to sell.

At the end of the day its about profits and this huge resort is smart for them to take up as much space as they can and sell a lot of points.

It is going to bring in more $ than CFW and thats what they care about. Im sure it will be beautiful and will sell well.

These "bland" hotels especially PIT are selling more points than ever. The new hotels sell well, saves them money, the room layouts are popular, why would they stop? While cool looking on the outside, some of these older hotels rooms look dated and the layouts are much better now, at least imo.

Can't wait to hear the LSL nicknames from the people that dont like it 🤣🤣

You own at 3 very large resorts and think LSL is too big?

LSL is 400 DVC + 557 hotel = 957 rooms (some reports say 900 rooms)

Contemporary/BLT is 295 DVC + 655 hotel = 950 rooms
Animal Kingdom is 214 Jambo + 458 Kidani + 972 hotel = 1644 rooms
Saratoga = 1260 rooms

Yeah are you assuming that CFW get rolled into LSL or something? LSL is going to be 1 single (albeit large) building. There isn't a single resort that has an internal bus loop for a single building Hotel/DVC.

BLT is very compact tower and has its own lobby right down the elevator, its not a sprawling building like LSL. The contemporary lobby is a short walk away. Im not going to go to all the rooms so that is irrelevant. Everything is near each other.

I have never stayed at SSR and have no plans to. That is not what we use that contract for. It is strictly for SAP points, longer stays and room upgrades. I would never buy a new resort as a SAP.

AKV is a huge resort, but we always stay at Jambo to be near everything... we do not stay at Kidani. I do not want to stay somewhere that has an internal bus loop or a lot of walking that has a seperate room category to be near everything, which is why we avoid Kidani and request to be near lobby at Jambo. We havent had any issues yet.

No im actually one of the ones that dont think it will be rolled together

With all the talk about transportation, especially around the boats to and from LSL.... Once LSL comes online, I'm sure it and the Fort will have separate boats traversing back and forth from MK, how do y'all think things will "play out" at MK? Do you think the Fort and WL will share the same side of the dock and LSL will get the other? Or do you think they will add another boat slip somewhere along the shore at MK for LSL and leave WL and the Fort as they are now?

I can't imagine the "three" alternating between the 2 docks that are there now... I mean there would be times that 2 slots would be occupied and one of the boats would have to wait outside for an opening...

I disagree. I think they will just dedicate the larger boats to the FW/LSL to MK route.

Yeah I think people are looking at and saying it's HUGE and not realizing it's really not. It just comes off that way in aerial views and because of its placement on top of FW.

I didnt realize it was one huge building I thought it was like 5 seperate ones, it looks massive in pictures, I havent seen it in person. I know i will this time. So im thinking maybe shuttle transportation like they have from kidani to jambo 🤔

It does look massive in photos, but if you base it off rooms you will see its average in size. I think it will be somewhat like AKV. We shall see.

I should add "feel" like AKV. AKV is still much much larger when it comes to capacity.

I think a shared FW and LSL boat is unlikely. If any sort of sharing were practical now they would have been doing it with WL and FW years ago. While there are certainly some non-peak times over the course of a day, there’s not really abundant extra FW or WL boat capacity to play with here. I think ‘maybe’ you see some sharing implemented during non peak hours - but for most travel times they will be separate. In my opinion.

Doesn't LSL have a boat dock getting built? If so, I would assume LSL gets a boat to MK, FTW gets a boat to MK, and WL gets a boat to MK.

I suppose it's possible Disney does something funky with the boat route off-peak times/days, but 3 separate boat routes seems to be what's being signaled by the construction of a new pier at LSL. LL? DLL? Reflections? Villas at Fort Wilderness?

I also agree with this... Currently the Fort is serviced by 2 of the larger boats now. I'm sure this is due to the size and number of Fort guests, plus for the Hoop-De-Do dinner show. I don't think 2 of the large boats will be able to service both the Fort, LSL and any dinner show guests. Plus the fact that there is another separate boat dock being constructed specifically for LSL...

Actually, the boats servicing FW & WL (separately) are a mix of larger and smaller boats. They tend to alternate during the day.
