This is, of course, greatly appreciated by military members, retired veterans, and their families.
I just wonder if it's the beginning of the end of this wonderful perk...
??????? I thought that they ALWAYS started a new discount year starting on Oct. 1st?? So what happens starting in Jan?????
I hope they KEEP THE 12 TICKET OPTION![]()
The Sept/Oct start has proven over the last couple years to no work. Huge issues with resort availability in Oct/Nov, as the general public has been reserving those rooms for 11 months by the time the new salute was announced. And last year the Jul announce, mid-Aug ticket release caused those going in early Oct to be unable to make FP+.
Disney is thinking a summer announcement will give enough room for the Jan start to go smooth.
p.s. only since the 2010-2011 offer (which was extended to 2012) have they used the Disney fiscal year. Prior they started in Jan and were partial year offers, which were extended.
It will go back to 6. When the extended the 2010-2011 offer through 2012 they bumped it up to 12 and it went back to 6 for the 2012-2013.
Steve - can you clarify if this is now 12 tickets total for the entire Salute (so if you used 3 tickets in November 2014, you have 9 left that could be used for a November 2015) trip, or if this is renewing the number to 12? I think it's the former, but I want to make sure.
We went to WDW in November 2014, and used 3 tickets. We're going to DLR in November 2015. We're trying to figure out how many AFS tickets we will be able to buy for that trip.
Are they? I didn't know that. If that's the case, then we should have 12 available to us at dlr in November...?I thought the DLR and WDW military salute tix were separate entities, and didn't effect one another?

Awesome! That will help our dlr trip a lot! I didn't realize that the allotment was separate for dlr and wdw. Thanks for clarifying!!Hi, it is 12 tickets at WDW and 12 thickets at DLR for the 28 Sept 2014-20 Dec 2015 time period.![]()
You usta-could fax orders to MacDill, but their website says they're having comms problems. You could call and ask if they've got those fixed yet...I know there is an ITT somewhere where you can order tickets over the phone. Could someone supply that information? Thanks.
Can anyone tell me, we are going Aug 9th to Disney with these 4 day military passes but we are actually arriving in FL Aug 7th, we plan on activating them before the 9th. Can just my husband and I do this without the kids or do the kids need to go with us to do this? Thanks.
Thanks, was hoping to not have to have the inlaws take 2 vehicles to take us to activate but do not want to do 2 trips...planning to do it a DTD day before going to the parks and hotel check in.Disney's rules state that all members of your party must be present.
I've heard lots of stories of CMs activating tickets without everyone there, but you won't know until you actually try, and that could cause two trips if you are told no. It will be up to the CM in the moment.
