First...I love Disney Cruises! We just got home from our 3rd cruise, the Wonder to Bahamas. Our 8 year old daughter had the time of her life AGAIN! Love the service, the excursions, the activities and the food is decent. The crew is beyond friendly and attentive to the children and parents alike. They are very health aware with hand sanitizer stations at ever restaurant and on and off boarding. Unfortunately, because I'm not a first timer- I noticed changes that were disappointing, as you expect certain things to be ther on your next cruise, and it's not. The biggest disappointment was the photo package at the end of the cruise. On our previous cruises, if you bought the full CD, the printed photos came with it. This cruise it changed to buy the digital CD, and prints cost as well. Ok, they have already printed the pics in various sizes. So, you basically pay double now. We bought the CD, and they keep and I assume destroy the prints. What purpose does that seve? It's a waste to destroy all those prints! What more would it cost Disney to just give the prints versus trash them? They also did away with the picture frame character signing at Guest Services...I can live with that one, but charging so much for photos seems greedy when they used to throw in the prints rather than throw away the prints. Again, I love Disney, but was sad to see this change. We booked our next Disney Cruise and are looking forward to it! I hope they add versus take away value next time.

Are the CD photos from a session you made an appointment for? How expensive are these CDs?

I have been on two Disney cruises and when you bought all pictures you bought either the CD or CD + printed pictures. Adding the printed pictures was always extra.

We have used the photo service on previous cruises and purchased the cd with the prints included. I was just looking at the photo options for an upcoming cruise and noticed that the prints and pictures were separate now as you mentioned. I was hoping I was reading it wrong but apparently not. I have to agree with you that it is a total waste for them to just throw all those prints away. I was also looking forward to the character signing at guest services as we have done that in the past. Did you find out about them discontinuing it ahead of time or did they inform you when you tried to drop you frame off at guest services?

Did you also notice how they are rationing shampoo? That was one of the biggest disappointing changes we noticed this year. Agree about the mickey mail. We stay away from shutters but that seems pretty obnoxious.

Don't know about pricing, they do however recycle the unpurchased photos.

I've never had an issue getting plenty of shampoo, lotion, whatever. But I have read that there is the occasional room host who seems to be a bit stingy with "replacing" used product.

Just off the Magic and I can say for sure there was no rationing of the shampoo or any other products. Even if I had half a bottle in the shower a new one was left on the counter. I was not however light fingered with them and only took the three unopened tubes at the end of our stay. Also, the attendant noticed that my daughter loved the lotion and left her an extra bottle with a note that it was for take home.

I've never had more than 3 bottles for the 4 of us on the last trip. We use 1 bottle every 2 days(waist long thick hair x 2).

On our first trip they wouldn't give us more than 2 for the whole trip. So I went to buy some on the third day but they were sold out. Told my husband he had to use bar of soap last few days because we didn't have enough for the 3 of us. I knew they had shampoo on ships, DISboard all talked about it. Nobody said you better bring backups incase. If it happened again I'd visit guest services, they always are good with problems.

I'd probably ask my room host first, then escalate if I didn't get a satisfactory response. Jumping right to Guest Services isn't nice.

That was what I had done, but twice. I asked again after trying to purchase bottle that they recommended since I was running out and that was how I was able to get my second bottle on the first cruise. I explained they were out in the store house keeping said she would see if another could be found for me. That was my second and final bottle that cruise.
Second cruise we got 3 bottles total for the week and that was good for us.

We had a similar experience. "Let me see if I can find some." What do you do with that? We probably should have complained but we felt badly for her. That you got a similar response makes me wonder if they aren't being told to say that.

Well, after the second "I'll see" I'd call housekeeping. Depending on what they said/did, I keep going up the chain of command. Probably Guest Services would be next.

But I've never had to do that. We've always been well supplied on all our cruises, from a 4 night to a 24 night B2B.
