Well, I'm back!! Had a great time at Vero with lonnie & Mike (a little TOO much fun one night!!) and a great time at WDW and OKW with DH- golfed twice, ate sooooooooooooooooooooo much, actually spent an entire day getting massages and lying by the pool and then eating at V&A's....even went for a bike ride through DTD (before we got kicked out by the CM on a segway!) . AND saw K & A our first day in Epcot to boot! I'm downloading pics (I took 800!!!!!!!!) as we speak, and it is taking forever!!!!!! See you soon- Here's something to laugh at while you wait (if you look closely, you will see Pods saying "This is F@%^&* up")

It was time to head over to the International Gateway and Epcot for our last night's dinner at Bistro de Paris. As usual, we were soaked to the bone and at this point, we were just stupid with it! Here's Loni showing off her annual pass-

Aaaaaah....Paris in the springtime....

We decided to order the Menu Degustation with wine pairings. It was a VERY good choice, and we were VERY glad they took TIW! First, an amuse bouche and some champagne-

Then we both ordered Escargot and mushroom Cassoulet with parsley butter, frog leg fritter and watercress veloute- yummy!

I think it was paired with a Vouvray- we sure were getting our share of Chenin Blanc on this trip. This was delicious! Next came the fish course- Loni ordered Scallops grilled with smoked salt, green peas flan, sauteed salsify and champagne buerre blanc. This was amazing-

I had Atlantic Red Snapper, calamari basquaise style with rice with squid ink-

I was not crazy about it, not loving the basquaise style, I really preferred Loni's scallops. Both were served with a Pinot Blanc. Next a palate cleanser- strawberry & basilca granite, key lime sorbet, pomegranate liquor-

And fireworks!! Time for Illuminations which we could watch from our window seat-

Lonnie was very, very happy about the french waiters.

Actually, they were all so very nice to us, and this one exuded charm.
For our meat course, we both enjoyed Grilled beef tenderloin, Beef parmenter, asparagus with peppercorn sauce.

This was also delicious. After this course, I went to powder my nose. So I completely missed the parade of french hotties that brought our desserts and unveiled them with flourish and VIOLA! It must have been pretty good, because Lonnie spent the rest of the night telling me how great it was.
I believe this was Strawberry Millefeuille-

We were WOW about this restaurant. We both thought this was the finest WDW meal we had had. We also thought, here we are, at one of Disney's finest Signature meals, and we are dressed like we are headed to Burger King- because we had completely given up, thrown in the towel, whatever you want to call it- no makeup, bad hair, crappy clothes....There was something so comical about it we couldn't stop laughing at ourselves and the craziness of the whole monsoon situation!! Once again, we were punch-drunk. Not such an awful thing in this situation!
Anyway, I hope we get to return to BdP again someday. In real clothes. And pretty hair.

Although, it might not be as much fun!

You have a pretty nice point spread to work with. I keep coaxing my DH to add-on. I think I've almost convinced him!

We donned our flood gear and were ready to head out for more wet & wild fun- before we left BdP, I made a little video of Lonnie getting suited up (if you hum the soundtrack from Mission Impossible along with the movie, it fits!). Well, in my confused mind, anyway.



See? Punch-drunk. We sloshed back to the beach club where I continued to celebrate the closing of our new BCV contract-

Plenty of water in stormalong bay!!

Time to say bye-bye to one home-

We stopped off in Victoria Falls for a nightcap- and took this picture, which we felt summed up the night-

We woke up on May 20th, ready to face the monsoons of May, when to our surprise, delight and JOY there was....BLUE SKY ALL AROUND!!!!!!! YIPPEE!!! Our last Disney day was going to involve some form of sunshine!!! We packed up and sent the luggage to Bell Services, ate our last concierge breakfast, and then headed over to DHS for the morning. For our first ride EVER on TSM!! We tried for FP's, but sadly they were already for AFTER we would be leaving today, so we hopped on the stand-by line which said 45 minutes. But oh, how they lie. And oh, isn't that the best! Because it really took like 25 minutes, and that's just enough time to enjoy all the cool stuff during the wait (especially when it's your first time seeing it!

I was very proud to be wearing the line counter timer thingee!

Wow!! How much fun is that ride???! I can't WAIT to ride it with my boys in November- I am already prepping Sean on how we will be riding this and how much he will love it, so we'll see how it goes! (Actually, i am making him a book of what we will be doing every day, step by step, so hopefully he will be more accepting of the experiences and not freaked out over anything new. I'm almost finished writing the story part, then I just need to print out some pics to go with it. Say a prayer for us this works!!!).

Anyway, I kicked Loni's butt, although she complains that my accuracy stinks and that should count for something, but TOO BAD, Girlie!!!! I'm the WINN-NAH!!!!!

I really can't wait for Sean to see this- Sean's favorite movie of all time is Toy Story, he is going to go CRAZY over this area of the park (I hope)!

Next we went into Disney Animation- what a cool attraction, I had not been in there since the day the park opened (it was a lot different then!).

Ready to kick some bad-guy butt!

Then we saw the characters from Up! which had still not opened, so we got on line. The weird thing was, the line was so small, but it didn't move....so after 10 minutes, we peeked around to see what was up with the characters, and.... they were GONE!!!! Well, THAT would explain a LOT! So we got out of line and went to see other things- I found out I am Tink!

And they came back, but it was too late for us-

Then back out into the glorious sunshine to wait for the HSM parade-

The parade began, and I made sure to text a pic of it to DS12 (for humiliation purposes- because HSM in all of its incarnations is NOT pre-teen boy cool! Tee-hee!).

Then a little walking around, where we actually got NEW tattoos, since our tinks had faded like an hour after we got them.

We spent a little time laughing at a very funny garbage can-

And then...left for home. Lonnie took off to her car just as....it began to rain again. And I hopped on the ME bus for the airport-

Once at the airport, it was nice to see, as compared to last year, that the ceiling had been cleaned up-

Oh! And lucky me, at the airport in NJ, my town car ride became a stretch limo ride to home- my boys were VERY impressed when I pulled in.
