Kicked DDs out of bed early this morning. Left site around 6am to go hiking.



Started on Rainbow Falls at 630am. Parking was already filling up.

Trail starts in typical wooded fashion.


ffollows two streams as it winds back and forth.

this is area of park involved in the fire in 2017. Normally not this open.

Uneventful travel day for us today., thank goodness. Arrived at The Cove about 3pm. Man, traffic was miserable between Montomery and Birmingham. There were two wrecks in the south bound lanes but everybody and there brother, in the north bound lanes had to slow down and rubberneck. Plan to pull out of here tomorrow bout 8am....got no idea what time we'll get to PF with unknown traffic around Chatanooga and then the traffic mess from Sevierville into PF.
