DisMeet - Baltimore (DC/MD/VA/PA) - Part 2

For those that are coming, be sure to bring your cameras along! There will be a tall ship arriving in the harbor that day:

Cisne Branco - 249’
Brazilian Navy tall ship training vessel

If you want a little more info, here's the website: http://www.sailbaltimore.org/index2.htm

Oh, and you might also want to bring your umbrellas... the weather people can't decide (yet) whether it will be raining or not that day.

So Cool! Thanks for the infomation.

:woohoo: DIs is back up...

address for the Science Center??? is this it?

601 Light Street
Baltimore, Maryland 21230

saw it opens at 10am.

so I am guessing it is 3 blocks from the lunch meeting site and easy enough to park and walk to. GPS showed its about 2.5 hours for me... so I believe I am all set. Looking forward to seeing you all!

See Ya real soon :)

Getting to the Science Center is really easy - especially if you're going after you eat. When you come out of the restaurant facing the water/harbor, just walk to your right. It's a HUGE bldg, you cant miss it. And it's not a far walk at all.

See you all on Sat!

TT... are we doing the Buffett or the sit down restaurant/ala carte??

I believe it's the sit down restaurant. Their both near each other. The reservations are in my name for 15 ppl. The restaurant called me today to confirm are reservations. Their web site states that they have "Validated parking at the InterContinental Harbor Court Hotel."

Hoping you see this before you leave Teresa and others... I am not going to be at the Science Center, but will be there for lunch. One of my cousins is in town and I havent seen him in years. Maybe 12??? So we are meeting for a late breakfast.

See you this afternoon!!!

Why blue crabs are blue

Blue crabs are blue because their shell contains a number of pigments, including
Alpha-crustacyanin, which interacts with a red pigment, astaxanthin, to form a
greenish-blue coloration. When the crab is cooked, the Alpha-crustacyanin
breaks down, leaving only the astaxanthin, which turns the crab red-orange.

Kevin......You sure didn't waste any time, what you're home for 10 minutes before you kindly look this up for Mel. :lmao:

Great to see everyone again. And for those that were not with us, you sure missed a great time at the Maryland Science Center and Phillips Seafood. Some of us even purchase a membership for the Science Center, we had that much fun. :thumbsup2 Can't wait for the next one.

Hi all

I did not sign up for this June meet as I knew I could not make it. But I love the Inner Harbor. I saw how bad the rain was in the morning and said to myself, "Gee I wonder if anyone brought their Disney poncho!"

Yesterday I did spot a Disney poncho during the US Open golf tourney broadcast. It poured off and on in Long Island yesterday.
