Betsy your daugther is beautiful. That would be totally awesome if they could be friends years from now. My sister and her BFF have been friends since before they were even born (our mothers went to the same church) and now even though they dont see each other a lot they still keep in touch and its been 15 years.

Yes, free at Disney is usually unheard of! I would not have known about the free face painting but when I was picking up my tix for the party, the girls face was painted really cute and I commented on it to her. She then said "oh, it's free once you get inside" then she said "I mean it's complimentary". HUH...I guess they are not aloud to say free but are aloud to say complimentary

I know what you mean...it's nice to have just good old fun with your family. I think sometimes that's easy to put off these days!

Not sure if I mentioned it or not, but DH has 3 job interviews this week. Once he told the headhunter that he already has an offer on the table from last week, she was able to get interviews nailed down for this week. I'm hoping these will be jobs DH is interested in along with good/decent salary and benefits.

I thought of you last night...we were watching tv and this commercial came on for yogurt -- 2 ladies in a grocery store talking about wanting to eat boston creme pie and strawberry cheesecake...and then Richard Simmons comes on and starts interrupting them and dancing/exercising all around...it was funny!! I always liked him...I still remember tons of fun my mom, sister and I had "sweatin to the oldies" in our living room growing up.

I took DD to doctor today since she was just not right...turns out she has strep throat. So just waiting now for the meds to kick in. It was a difficult morning for her.

I often wonder if men value their alone time as much as woman do. The girls will both go off to read or anything for alone time but Loren seems to crave companionship he even will sit in the same room as everyone else and read. I can't concentrate enough to read when everyone is around.

No I don't think men value it more than we do. Probably cause for most of us the majority of the time we are alone we aren't "alone" we are busy taking care of things running to places, on the phone, etc... Most men can come home kick their shoes off and relax for a while before and IF they do anything aroundthe house. Now my DH does help me @ the house, but when he comes in he wants to sit and rest whereas when I come in I don't have to time to just sit and relax. Now if I'm by myself I will for a few min.

But as far as the reading goes that is how I CAN escape from it all. And yes i can read in a crowded room and not even know whats going on around me!!!
And I promise I am NOT a man!!!!

DEFINITELY a man thing. It goes in one ear and out the other!!

We are heading to a Purple Party at the library I have no idea what to expect but it's all about the color purple and StinkerBelle LOVES that color so I thought it would be fun. I'm taking my camera so hopefully I'll have some purple pics to post!

Hi All!

We went to Scotty's company picnic today. It was fun. The food was awful but they had carnival games and I came home with 5 stuffed animals, 3 pin wheels, 2 necklaces that Kody and Loren made for me, spin art pictures, and a family picture minus Kacy who had a band review out of town. Which her band won Grand Sweepstakes! And I forgot but I got my face painted too.

Sounds like FUN!!!!!

DD is good -- I can tell since she's getting into more trouble now with her running around and pesting the cats!

I did really good at the sale. I sold at least $25 if not $50 of my own stuff and bought some clothes for baby (since she will be March and DD was a July baby) and then some Legos, puzzles, games and books for DD. We let her have some of them now but most of the stuff I'm saving for Christmas, Valentines, Welcome New Baby and Easter stuff. I feel like we saved a ton and with what I sold, it only ended up costing me about $20-40. So now I have all my DD's Christmas presents covered.

Oh, did you get a pic of your face paint? What did you do?

We went to a festival a few weeks ago and DH, DD and I all got our faces painted...DH got a teddy bear on his cheek; DD got Nemo on hers and my whole face was a peacock. I'll look to see if I still have the photos.

I've been lazy this morning and spent a good while searching the net for a Mickey Halloween shirt. I am so mad that I did not get one while at Disney but I thought they were too expensive. I'm attempting to make my own with a design for the DISign board. I have never made a tshirt with iron on and I'm a little worried I'll mess it up.

Who is the expert here? I know QM made them but since she's away...I need help!!!!!

I think DH is getting mad because I've been on the PC too long so I'm going to head out for a little while

That's a free diet web site. It's actually very cool. It gives you all sorts of recepies, exercises, exercise videos, helps you keep track of the food you eat every day and all the water you drink and all the exercising you do. You should check it out.

I'm gonna put a ticker on my siggie tracking my progress so if you wanna put one in yours too and if we see each other slacking we could say something and try to motivate.

aww thanks Betsy! You're so sweet. I really hope I can! I got rid of a lot of them but I actually still have a whole dresser full of skinny clothes that I'd like to be able to wear some time in the near future. I started exercising over the weekend. Mostly just crunches but boy are my abs sore today. I wish I had a treadmill or running buddy of some sort locally though. I really enjoy running but refuse to do it alone since there's so many crimes that happen to people around my neighborhood when they are just out exercising.

yes I do. I used to HATE running. But now that I know how to train my body and not kill it with running it's fun and a great way to exercise the whole body at once. You're right, it really does help get the body moving better. It is said that it strengthens your core and that is one of the most important groups of muscles in your body.

I'm so glad to hear that your DH has a job offer and 3 interviews!! I"m praying that they all go well and he gets at least one other offer so y'all can have the option of which one would be best for your family!
