We are praying for you here in California.

Thank you!! That is where I'd like to evacuate too. Then I could go to Disney land and then all i'd have to worry about is earthquakes!!! I'll never forget my first visit to Ca. My GreatAunts house was overcrowded with collectibles and we hadn't been there an hour when a quake struck and things were rattiling and she was pushing things this way and that. Somehow she had a system to keep too much from breaking. Some things did break and I remember being scared and she NEVER stopped talking through the entire thing. There she was on the floor hands over her head.
" I'm so glad you guys came! You guys are going to have such a wonderfull time. I still love the South but Ca is a wonderfull state and oh yeah we are going to go to ..... house tonight and then we'll show ya'll our church and the innercity church and....etc........" (My Great Uncle was a Pastor there. First time I had to go through a FORTRESS of BarbedWire and Fences to get to church!!! )
Anyway....I really did like it there and wouldn't mind going again and....you know I still have some relatives there and my not really but we've always claimed to be cousin just moved there to Pastor a church hmmmmm.... I'm on my way!!!!!

It's supposed to hit Sat a.m. But yes we are in the Hurricane circle! What is crazy is they are not evacuating all of Galveston!! It's too late to get them all off so they are saying Shelter in Place!! They are expecting storm surges of at least 8 feet and Shelter In Place!!! You better believe if I lived there my bootie would be GONE!!!

OB is probably gone again! Traffic is already getting REALLY heavy!
DH is in Dialysis and I'm staying home to get ready to go. i'm sending the boys to school so I can get more done and then hopefully we can leave by noon. There is already a gas shortage and overcrowding on the highways. There is like a nervous panicky feeling everywhere. They really aren't telling us much of anything. You can see on the tracker where it's going to hit yet they aren't evacuating anymore. They waited too late.
They evacuated so many for Gustav because of overreacting due to being scared because of Rita that they waited too late. I would rather be evacutated a gazillion times than be stuck that once and disaster happens. If it wasn't for DHs dialysis we would be gone!!!

when Rita hit we were in it. I was very blessed my apartment at the time had damage but was liveable. so many weren't that blessed! Now here comes Ike toward Galveston and we are just going to sit here????
You know how the school closed for Gustov on the BEAUTIFULL day?? Well all the school districts are closed all around us BUT NOt us!!! i guess they would be EMBARRASSED!!!
I'm trying to find back streets so w won't be stuck on the Hwy. We usually go 59 to I10 to Ms. what would usually be an 8 hour drive to my inlaws house would probably be a 20 or more by the time we get to leave so we are taking alternative routes!! I know I'm rambling so I'll get off. I am getting nervous. I don't have the pet carrier. It's at my Moms so I think if I can't get it before I leave we will just have to use Braetons Build a Bear one!!! I'll make use of that money yet!!!
I don't know what to do about Tylers poor fish. Put a bunch of food in there and pray over it I guess. I just hate to starve anything to death. Unless it would be a snake. I HATE Snakes and Rats and Mice!!!!
O.k. my nervous self is showing so I'll be leaving you now.

I live in Northern California. So it would be San Francisco. We live 45 miles from the City by the bay. We get earthquakes supposedly all the time but, we don't always feel them. The campground I had the pictures of is about 15-20 miles out of San Francisco. There is a place in the park if the fog is clear you can see the Golden Gate Bridge. I am going to the city in October for this Oprah thingy so I will have a few pictures of the city to share with everybody.

We are keeping you and yours in our thoughts and prayers.
