So, what are your kids doing for Halloween?

Are they too old or too cool to go out this year? :rotfl:

Not yet...But I am guessing that this is the last year for the girls.

Aww

At least you got this year with all of them,

You probably have a few more years with Loren at least:goodvibes

Snow flurries? Oh gosh! I was watching the news this morning and we are supposed to have rain on Friday. And here I sit with 150 little containers of playdough. Wow! Play dough party at my house!:rotfl:

Yes, Gail is funny. She was talking about how they promised her that her hotel was within walking distance. That she had made a big deal out wanting to walk to the seminar and be able to wear her high heels. And when she got there she realized that she was blocks from Moscone center.

And Nate. He is just a doll.

I really enjoyed Art Smith and Stacy London. We skipped one if our seminars because we wanted to visit the vendors. I love the purse hook. I thought it was the best idea because I never really know what to do with my purse. It was a lot of fun.

Yes, we had snow all day  Nothing of accumulation but just to be annoying!

Why do you have all of that play dough? :confused3

I knew Gail would be funny...that girl cracks me up! I loved it when she and Oprah when on their road trip :lmao:

I remember when Nate was on after losing his boyfriend in the typhoon and it was heartbreaking :sad1: He has always seemed SO nice.

I know ---we woke up to 39 degrees this morning! :scared1: I was like --what happened to Fall? We went from shorts and a tshirt to jeans and a jacket in like one week!

Bwa ha ha ha! I have outed another HSM fan ! We are so sad :sad2: :lmao: Go ahead girls feel free to make fun. :lmao:

I've never seen Hairspray (the new one). I will have to check it out.

My DD got accepted into the talented drama program here. I say the same thing to her all the time. ;) DS however has decided that he wants to be a chocolate maker. What more can a mom want ? :woohoo:

Same thing here! We barely had a fall season...just straight to freezing!

Yes, I have to admit I downloaded that new HSM3 song from Itunes :rolleyes1
That's great for your DD :yay: Now I really like the sounds of a chocolate maker...that is great!!!

Just thought I would share. This is anti-drug week at DD's school and yesterday was Wild about being Drug-Freee so they got to wear Wild hair. She had pink, blue and black hair with glitter all over.

2008newer072.jpg

Now that is CUTE!

Hey girl:goodvibes

Wow, snow flurries. We had traces of snow in Philadelphia. Too early for that:scared1:

Can't wait to see your pics.

I hope Trent has fun today, sounds like a fun day:goodvibes

Yes, flurries all day long...YUCK!

I am uploading pics shortly :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear about Trent's day!

We have snow flurries today too! I put Aidans winter coat on and was so excited that it fit then remembered that the zipper is broken. So I had to go buy 2 very expensive coats today.:sad2: And hats. And gloves. Stupid winter!!!

Today Ainslee has dance and she gets to wear her costume. That should be fun for her. Third time we have worn costumes and we haven't even gotten to Halloween yet.

I am doing the dreaded coat shopping this week too! DD is barely fitting in last years so I guess it's time. You are right, coats are expensive...especially when they are wore for a few months and then retired!

We have a couple wears out of our costume too...that makes me happy :thumbsup2

Ok, some of these are blurry because my batteries were dying in the camera. Sorry about that!

OB -- cute multicolor hair on your DD!

Betsy -- adorable pics as always of your kids. You guys did GREAT on the pumpkins.

I've been absent for a few days...need to skim through and try to catch up.

Good luck with the night training Marshay. I really need to start working with DD to get trained. I keep putting it off and I know that it needs to be done. My one friend said it took her about 2 weeks for the night trainings too. Let's hope your DD takes even less!

I forget, how old is your DD? We are making "slight" improvements. She is still wetting the bed once a night (:headache: ) but is waking up in the morning and going straight to the potty to pee. Before we started all this, she would just go in the diaper.

So I feel like it's good for us to keep doing...Someone else told me to give it about 2 weeks. My fear is that when she pees in her sleep, she doesn't realize it and then she isn't learning anything and just ends up sleeping in a wet bed.

I think I need to buy some goodnights or underjams or something...need to check it out.

But I do give all KUDOs to my hubby who has gotten up every night to change the sheets thus far (embarrassed to say that I've slept through it all -- never even heard my DD crying)

OK Marshay I need your expertise. I know what I want and I know what I need but don't know how to do it. Sharky has given me ideas and I came up with some ideas but I can't figure out how to ut them into play. We are supposed to decorate our cubicles at work in a movie theme and dress as one of the characters Friday.Well I am going to be tweedle dum but don't know how to decorate the cube. I'm limited as not being hom I dont' have tools, don't have things I could improvise with, etc. We came up with decks of cards, red roses, tea pots, a looking glass, a paint can and paint brush, a lot of hats for the Mad Hatter, a very Merry UNbirthday sign. But how do I make these things in a decent size so I can decorate my cubicle? All I can come up with is printing pictures and stapling them to the walls? I don't want to spend a lot of money but I do want to participate. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused3

I think what you are doing is great! Any items that you can use for real (ie an actual deck of cards instead of just a photo) are MUCH better. Check out the dollar store and you may be able to find a lot.

Don't forget any DVDs/Videos or children's books on Alice in Wonderland (keep the receipts and don't open them up and then you can return them).

What about music? How about taping some of the dialog/songs and having it play in a boom box/ipod for background music?

I do hope the company can keep you on longer or else you find something else to do.

DH has a job!!! He decided to take the job with a chance at management in 6 months. It's about 30 minutes or so away so much closer than the other one.

His boss said that in 6 months if he does a good job, he could have a merit review (ie salary increase).

He starts Nov 10th. So that actually gives us some time next week to get away for a few days. We considered going to WDW but only have 4 days available and flights were too expensive.

So instead we booked 3 nights at Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA. This is a resort with a huge indoor water park. I've never been to one of these before but heard it's a lot of fun. 85 degrees, lots of slides, lazy river, wave pool, etc. and they have a spa that does pregnancy massages so I am getting one too!

It wasn't cheap but includes breakfast, waterpark, lots of children's entertainment and a semi-private living room (there is a 1/2 wall that separates our bed from the sofa bed).

I'm excited ... I love just being able to get away so this will be fun.:cool1:

And tomorrow, we go for our 20 wk u/s ... we'll find out whether our girl "grew anything she wasn't supposed to in the last 5 weeks" :rotfl2:

Oh my your Winter is early this year isn't it? My Grandpa used to say that early Winter meant a mild one. There may be something to what he said. He was a month out of turning 99 when he died. He had a lot of Winters to judge from.:goodvibes

You guys are getting good wear out of your costumes aren't you? ANd nhow fun for the kids.

Let's hope it is a mild one! Abby is not enjoying the coat season!

too early for winter for sure.

Thank goodness Trent coat still fits from last year too. I really thought arms would be too short, but they are not.

Where did you get their coats at? I always get his at Sears, at a decent price:goodvibes

I usually get their coats at Childrens Place but I was tired of having the same ones as the last 4 years. I hit Macys and luckily got them on sale. I always forget about Sears because our closest one is about 20 minutes away. I already removed tags, so maybe I will try that next year!

Ok, some of these are blurry because my batteries were dying in the camera. Sorry about that!

We haven't gone to GWL but have gone to a few that are equivalent and we love them! It is so much fun. Don't have to worry about the weather or sunscreen! Have a good time.

My friend used the nite time one's that get cold so they alerted her DD when she was wet. They seemed to work pretty well for her.

That is awesome of your hubby! It's so nice to have help. Don't be embarrassed, I still have nights when I do not hear DD crying...I somehow block it out and just keep on snoozing. Don't worry...DH always remembers to tell me :rolleyes1

Keep me posted on how it goes. I can use all of the tips I can get :goodvibes

We had a blast!!!

DD turned 3 in July, so she's a bit older. We weren't daytime potty trained until about 3 weeks before her 3rd bday.

We're going to have to go with Goodnites/Underjams for next week at Great Wolf Lodge b/c I'm sure she won't be trained by Monday...we just have to convince her that they are not diapers -- just underwear.

yeah, for the Phillies!! Although I'm not a sports-tv fan, and certainly not baseball (too slow IMHO), I still have a soft spot for all the Philly teams (esp Eagles) since I grew up a PA gal.

Hey girl:goodvibes
I hope Trent has fun today, sounds like a fun day:goodvibes

Hi Ob:goodvibes

How cool, one that acts and one that makes chocolate, I would be in heaven:banana:

Aww. I love it. She looks too cute:lovestruc

Ok I missed it -- what was Trent doing today?

Thanks!

Yes I will be in heaven living in my million dollar mansion with my Oscar winning actress and my world reknown Chocolate connoisseur. ;)

Love it!!!!! She is adorable!

Thanks!

We have snow flurries today too! I put Aidans winter coat on and was so excited that it fit then remembered that the zipper is broken. So I had to go buy 2 very expensive coats today.:sad2: And hats. And gloves. Stupid winter!!!

Ahhhh! DS definitely needs a new coat. Scared to try on DD's. :scared1:

Today was our Dancing school party too. It was hysterical:lmao:

I am not a huge sports fan either, but it was so exciting and so intense. SO incredible and glad I got to witness it. The celebration on Broad street is incredible. There are about 10,000 people out there. It is going to be a long and exciting night there for sure:goodvibes

A mansion sounds nice:goodvibes

It was pumpkin day at school. He said he had a blast.

They drew on pumpkins with markers, pumpkin bowling and made "dirt" cake with worms in it. He had fun making it, but refused to try it. He is so picky

But he said he had a blast:goodvibes

Dance party sounds fun:cool1:
