Hi,

Also not many pics sorry

I have been doing some December dining reviews (well just starting couldn't face the fact my trip was over) I am dying to share them but they are really badly laid out.

We were on the DDP and really enjoyed it these reviews are a mix of snacks and QS and TS and various dates.

Snacks

9.12.07 Half Gallon Milk $2.79 - Good bargain

3.12.07 Chocolate fudge for Cheryl x2 credits

3.12.07 Goofys Candy Company Dipped Crispy Treat <$4. This had to be the biggest bargain I got this and the start of the holiday and finished eating it like a week later. I would kill for one of these now. It was one of those giant MM Crispy Ear things and then I added toppings off: Dipped Milk Choc, Mini White and Dark Choc Chips, Crushed Oreos, Crushed M and Ms Crushed Reeses Peanut Butter Cup, Milk Choc Drizzle and White Choc Drizzle. It was fantastic and so big the box actually did not shut.

QS

ONE OF THE BEST MEALS OF THE TRIP Dan loved the cheddar cheese soup and I was practically dribbling over the pretzel bread, Dan declared his steak to be delicious and my steak was huge but I ate it all it was so good you could cut through it like butter. We had speciality drinks mine was the smoothie refreshing and delicious and Dan had the shake which he didnt love. The waitress was great but would have liked to be offered more pretzel bread. The puddings were delicious but we could not eat much at all

8.12.07 Boma Buffet X 2 $25.99 Total including tip $61.36
This was another fantastic meal. Our service was great with drinks being refilled often and dirty plates being taken away. I can't remember exactly what we ate but I remember having lots of afritude potatoes and chicken pieces and salmon. Everything was nicely spiced with lots of different sauces to add to the spice. Dan tried some of the soups and loved them as well. I remember I was not keen on the bread as this was like corn bread which tastes very similiar to sponge cake for me. We went up bout 3 times each and were totally styffed but made a quick detour for pudding oh my everything was great, loved the Zebra Domes and adored the Banana Bread Pudding and sauce PS AK shop made me laugh as they sold ready meals guess its for the villas but thought that was really cool

9.12.07 Raglan Road Shared Dalkey Duo - Dalkey battered cocktail sausages, with a Dalkey mustard dipping sauce. - $9.95, Fish & Chips - Beer-battered fish and chips served with fresh tartar sauce. - $16.95, Sod...The Stew - It's beef stew infused with a hint of Guinness. - $16.95, Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding - Like no other pudding you have ever tried. - $6.99
Me Ma's Apple Pie - Cooked apples, mouth watering pastry & ice cream. - $6.99, I had a cocktail which was Irish Sangria made with Cider and was delicious and Dan had a Guiness also great we paid for these not sure how much. Coke each 2x $1.75 Total $72.36
ONE OF THE BEST MEALS OF THE TRIP AGAIN, We shared the battered sausages to start which were nice but the sausages had herbs which I didn’t like so I just ate the batter. I loved the dipping sauce though this was the best in the world. We had great service at this restaurant as well and it really did feel like an irish pub the only slightly bad points were the damp smell (must be the carpet) and we were right near a door that kept opening and it was cold that night. I then got my fish and cheaps and these are presented in such a cool way in a little cone of greaseproof paper which the waiter then dishes up onto the plate. These are the best fish and chips I have ever had and I live in the UK. I kept the dipping sauce from the starters for my chips but the fish was divine really fresh with crispy batter. Dan loved his guiness stew which was served in a little cauldron and was huge. We really could have left without pudding but after reading the reviews had to at least attempt it. I got the bread and butter pudding and ended up eating nearly all of it. I don't think I have ever eaten a better pudding it was spongy and the sauces were so great. I was licking the caramel one it was that good. Dan had Mas apple pie which was huge and very delicious. I would not hesitate to recommend this place.

I know that this restaurant has not had the greatest reviews on hitched but I have to say we just loved it and will definitley be heading back here next time. We did not have a booking for this and just turned up at MGM at the info desk and they slotted us in. I loved the atmosphere of this place and our waitress was from the UK so we had a nice little chat with her and she got me extra napkins for my scrapbook. The cherry coke was as good as beaches and cream which I believe had cherry syrup added was lovely. The dip I got I was not really looking forward to but I loved it so much and my husband ate all his chilli. The main courses arrived a bit too quickly and due to lack of room they took my dip away but I loved it and wanted it back. The sandwhich was fine as was Dans Reuben just very meaty and we were too full to eat the puddings so took them back to the room to polish off.

13.12.07 Maya Grill Buffet Breakfast Adult Breakfast Buffet - Mixed Fruit Salad, whole fruits, fruit topping medley, cold cereals, oatmeal & grits, pastries, French toast, waffles with syrup, scrambled eggs, egg burritos, sausage links, bacon/ham, biscuits with gravy, home fries with onions and peppers, and hash browns. A selection of juices, milk, hot chocolate, coffee, and tea are included. - $13.95 * 2 Total $32.92

We had a pretty disatarous dinner here on our first night but as it was our last day and we wanted to stay at the resort we thought we would use our last credits on breakfast. The breakfast here was ok we may have enjoyed it more if we werent so miserable and nervous about flying home. I had some nice potato things with bacon and eggs. I have learnt that I am not a fan of american scrambled eggs i prefer my eggs a little bit runny but every time I had these they were almost baked not so nice. We had plenty of orange juice and coffee though and really it was ok.

This was the only good thing

This was our first night and I really didn’t want to attempt pepper market after being awake for more than 20 hours so we booked in for a sit down meal. The place was really nice looking but the air conditioning was freezing. I ordered apple juice for my drink whilst everyone else had margeritas which the waiter kept making fun of for some reason. We had family with us who werent on the DDP and did not want appetizers so we ordered an appetizer each for me and dan then just shared it they were kinda just blech like they tried too hard and the flavours did not go. We explained carefully to the man what we wanted on each bill ie we were the ddp and they wanted a whole seperate bill. Then I had the steak and catch and this was disgusting the steak was tough and had some sort of white sauce that was gross and the fish I dont even know what it was but it was cold and see through like it was not even cooked and again pretty nasty. The tenderloin tips were ok but tough as anything. I should mention we waited an hour after finshing our starter for our main course and after we finished our main course we waited another hour with dirty plates on our table to be offered pudding which we declined and just got the bill. We were really fed up by now and then the bill came out wrong with our family being charged for starters and us not we said it was not ok and he took the room key away to sort it out and was gone three quarters of an hour and came back with the wrong bill again. We took it to the front desk to sort out and my family had to inisist the forced gratuity from sitting with us on the ddp was removed. We were not impressed and only came back later under duress
