Dishwashing time

Just don't use those handy little buried sinks to DO the dishes in! My parents woke up one morning to look out their RV window to see the family tent camping next to them in a FHU site using the sink to wash dishes in. By the time my dad put clothes on and got outside to try to gently advise them against it they were packing up and running off to catch the bus.

Oh my, I am laughing and throwing up at the same time reading your post, KristinU. Who in their right mind........ Scratch, scratch. Wondering how far into their trip they made it without Montuzema's revenge, or the Hershey squirts, however you define their stupidity! Hopefully not a trip to the ER. Your parents must still be shaking their heads!

All I can say is WOW.

I am guessing that since they were tent camping, they didn't realize what that "Pipe" nearby was?

Some lessons just have to be learned the hard way I guess. I agree with Bjschil, I hope they don't have an ER trip to ruin the Vacation. Hopefuly KristinU can catch up with them and advise them at a later point.

Yeah, quite honestly, until we started RV-ing we had no clue what sewer hookups looked like. If I saw a buried little sink I may have been inclined to think the same thing! They checked out later that day while my parents were out and about so my dad never did get an opportunity to let them know what it was for. This was a good 5-6 years ago, hopefully they all weren't sick or recovered quickly and have since learned what those little sinks are for.
