Let's look at the claim that "The President supported this mockery at his convention"

He did? One delegate from Virginia brought the bandages, and it is my understanding from news reports that the RNC told him to cut it out and asked people to stop wearing them. Do you have something that says differently? If so, I'd love to see it.

And I take it that according to the Democrats, only those that serve in combat are really in the military? Interesting, since most military members never see combat. I guess our service doesn't count.

And all of those people that didn't go into the service for Desert Storm? How many liberal talking heads didn't join the military during that time?

It is absolutely disgraceful and it shouldn't have happened; they were only distributed by a few on the first day and it was quickly stopped. They were not given out by members of the RNC.

On the other hand, the Kerry camp can also do immature things (of course, not as bad as the bandaids) like when Kerry's wife handed out "A**'s of Evil" buttons with Bush and Cheney and Ashcroft on them back in December. No wonder they've had her in hiding these past few weeks.

Every party has idiots, and blaming the candidates for the bad behavior of people they don't really know is ridiculous.

Now Mrs. Kerry handing out "asses of evil" buttons is a tad over the top, but I think she's a bit of a loose cannon. Spunky, you might want to say!

These were the actions of a few knuckleheads. To blame the RNC for this is like blaming the DNC for the small handful of protestors who got out of hand this week. I wish people would take a few minutes to think about these things before stirring the pot. Maybe a better title would have been "Dishonorable behavior by a few idiots at the RNC".
