We have had this happen several times. We usually just reboot our PVR and it fixed the problem.

But just no Comedy, Nick, MTV, VH1 etc.
Anyone else have this going on... CBS Local still there?

I still have my CBS channel too. It is because your CBS affiliate is not owned by Viacom. Thank God for the small stuff :)

Wow really? We paid for digital cable $94.27 a month plus $24.99 for our cable modem! When we switched to the dish Comcast wanted to raise the price of our cable modem to 64.00 a month!!!

Actually when we had dishnetwork ( I forgot which plan we had ) but I know we were paying $130 a month for TV and satelite internet service for only one computer , couldn't have two hooked up.
Now that we have cable modem and TV, we pay $34 for cable TV and 33 for cable modem. Before with dishnetwork we had only one tv hooked up to satelite ( didn't want to invest all that money in extra receivers ) and one computer. Now we have 4 tv's and 3 computers hooked up, everyone is happy and I pay half the price.

That's correct, when you don't have their cable the price goes up for just the high speed internet service. ::yes::

Our cable company cost here is more than DishNetwork. Also the service and channels are substandard. The problem here lies in the fact the towers need to be replaced and they won't do it.

When we finish our basement and add more TVs I might switch as then we will have cost savings. Unfortunately I have become used to having certain channels that our cable doesn't have. It really stinks.

We have had DISH for about 5 years and I don't see us switching. Viacom wants DISH to pay up front for channels they are developing that don't even exist yet. I agree with them for standing their ground, even though it comes as ahuge inconvenience to my three children (6, 4, &2) who miss Nick Jr. and my DH and myself who miss VH1. I was a little irritated at first and agree that a $1 monthly compensation fee hardly seems lik good compensation-but I do DISH's right not to bullied by Viacom. I don't think either party thought it would come to this either, and I heard on the news last night (we still have CBS too) that it should be resolved at the end of this week or next week at the latest. In the meantime, my kids are reconnecting with PBS and watching less TV overall (yay!). Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. :D

for us there is no cable...now we have no cbs, nick or mtv and vh1 and some other off channells and theyre going to give me a whole $1 on my next bill..gee thanks! and they had the nerve to raise the bill just a few weeks ago! I'm totally discusted with the whole thing! now to watch survivor and all the other good programs on cbs - I have to hook up an antenna to my tv.

I sure do miss my MTV!! THe kids are missing Nick but we shall make it. My youngest is in love with Dora. He cannot get enough. :) Thanks goodness I still have my local CBS, That would have been bad. LOL Hopefully, this will be resolved soon and life will be back to normal.

It's over! I just read online that they had reached an agreement but haven't checked to see if the channels are back on yet.

Yep mine are back on and my kids are now back watching their noggin.

This is great! I put on the tv this morning just to see if there was any news and I shocked to see the channels on. DD and I are so happy.:D

I knew that sooner or later they'd reach an agreement, that's why I wasn't in any rush to switch over to DirectTV.
