I believe in this case, there were many witnesses to the fact that this girl was intoxicated. I can't believe some still blame rape victims for their rapes.

How about because rape is being thrown around for more than rape. Getting drunk and behaving how you don't normally isn't just the man's fault. From what I understand she was underage and pie eyed? So how did she get served? With forged id? Where is her resposibility not to get so pie eyed but also not to try adult games she wasn't ready for. At the moment there is a culture of not going out to have a few drinks but the intention is to get complety blotto which puts people in a dangerous situation but you have to be responsible. He was stupid to take what was offered she was stupid to get so drunk that she felt the lack of inibition and offer to have sex with him.

Wow. I couldn't disagree with the last posters any more. Even the local chief of police in Georgia knew he was guilty...it just was that it would be a "he said/she said" and they didn't think they could get a conviction. I absolutely care about what a player does off the field-character matters. We have thrown away any "#7" merchandise we had, and will never buy any again. He is a disgrace to the city.

We have not one but 3 female football teams in the city(where most cities do not even have one). One is our semi pro team (only meaning they do not get paid)the Pittsburgh Passion. They have been featured on sportscenter in SI and are televised to more than 12 million homes (just wait until this season!). To think that women don't know football? sadly mistaken.

There was too much similarity between the girl in Reno's story and the girl in Georgia's story for this to be a coincidence. He has been on a bad path for a few years. He skips out on his restaurant bills, too, saying the owners should be glad he's there, because he brings them business. He's a pig. If you are walking, talking and saying yes, then the answer is yes it isn't rape.

Guess you don't know too many drinkers cause a lot of them don't remember what they did when they were drinking. So unless she passed out and he picked her up and carried her out then it would be rape, but if she was saying yes then it isn't rape and it isn't his fault she got so drunk she did things she didn't want to have done if she were sober. These girls do need to hole themselves accountable for getting so drunk then doing things that they don't like when they sober up. He doesn't walk around with a breathalyzer so it is up to the girls to stay sober enough to know what they are agreeing to.

As far as the Rooney's they will only get rid of him if he is costing them money or they can make more money without him, Till then he's a Steeler.

Thx but as I posted earlier , I didn't google it either. I knew about Eric Foster , since alot of us here in Pittsburgh feel Ben didn't get treated fairly . If one gets suspended, then all should. Consistency at least. Same cases, different punishments and obviously different media coverage.

And how do you know about endorsements? When he takes our Steelers to our stairway to seven , Ben will be good ol' Ben again. Big corporations care about money and if they feel Ben will sell their product, he will be signed. Guess time will tell with that one.
