No we heard lots about dear ol' Eric Foster here in Pittsburgh. The media was all over it since basically the same story , but no media coverage and no suspension from Goodell.

Doesn't matter if Foster is a super starter. I could see him not getting the media coverage of ben, but the suspenson should have been there.

Yes I am a mom and I have a son and a daughter. I know what you're getting at but I hope when my daughter gets older she has better sense then to follow an NFL quarterback around from bar to bar (which she did), flirt with him (which she did) wear a DTF button, which she openly explained to his entourage and Ben what it meant. And then doesn't get so stinking drunk (while she's underaged) she doesn't know what the heck she is doing. Her friends have to tell her because she doesn't remember. Then even thinking back, she thinks her friends were wrong but doesn't know for sure.

Truely if I could do links I would, I'm stupid, thats why my signature looks the way it does. I actually just did a google search on him during this thread to see if maybe I missed the news about a suspension, but couldn't find any, so assuming he still was not .

There was a national talk sports show that brought Foster up a few weeks ago and a couple other players charged with drug possession who didn't get a suspension. Talk show host went as far to say, Ben was suspended and the others weren't because Ben is white and was being made an example of.

I can't respond if it was my daughter, it wasn't . My daughter is 6.
I in my younger days I used to hang out in all the downtown night spots the Steelers and Penguins hung out in. Sometimes with my now husband sometimes with just my girlfriends. Girls left with the players, it happened .

This really irritates me. This sounds as if you are saying becasue she is female there is no way she would have known this except for googling it. I really hope i am reading this wrong.

Let me tell you a little about Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh women. We all bleed black and gold. We are born that way. We have not one but 3 female football teams in the city(where most cities do not even have one). One is our semi pro team (only meaning they do not get paid)the Pittsburgh Passion. They have been featured on sportscenter in SI and are televised to more than 12 million homes (just wait until this season!). To think that women don't know football? sadly mistaken.

I'm a Steelers fan and I am female. Ben was acting like a complete pig. He needed to be suspended for his own good, maybe 2 or 3 games. He was going down the wrong path and I think this suspension may set him back in the right direction. He seems like he has changed in the past couple of months. He looks way better now. I kind of suspect an alcohol problem, even though he has denied that in a recent interview. His face does not look as bloated as it did in the past year. He seems more friendly with fans. Even Hines Ward has commented on positive changes. Who knows if these changes are permanent. I hope they are.

A lot of what roliepolieoliefan said about the girl was reported when the police released the reports a couple of months ago. Witnesses did say that she appeared to be following him around. She was wearing that button.

Who knows what really happened in that bathroom. But there certainly was enough information to warrant a suspension. I do like that there is a new code of conduct rule. I would like to see Roger Godell be more consistent with his suspensions though. As a Steeler fan, I would have liked him back for that Ravens game though.

There was too much similarity between the girl in Reno's story and the girl in Georgia's story for this to be a coincidence. He has been on a bad path for a few years. He skips out on his restaurant bills, too, saying the owners should be glad he's there, because he brings them business. He's a pig. Not to mention that he threw high into double coverage intentionally last season until Heinz Ward (who's a saint compared to the moron, Big Ben) was injured. The longer suspension should have been enforced. Rooneys need to dump him at the earliest opportunity, whether they take a loss or not.

If she was so drunk that she cannot remember the event, then she couldn't have given consent. You need to be lucid to give consent. The man is a pig. This is rape.
